The biggest reason the Postal movie is good is that the original creators of Postal 2 were involved in the production and then referenced the movie in later titles.
Surprisingly enough, Uwe is actually the reason we got the movie we got. Vince was deadset on a movie aping off of Taxi Driver, whereas Uwe wanted to base it off the little he saw of 2 because he want to make a movie essentially shutting down his critics. But it seems they worked it out during production, as I doubt Vince would've cameo'd otherwise, although his appearance is just him shitting on Uwe, so take that as you will.

Seeing the two beating each other, get interrupted by the police and terrorists that shot everyone and die is the most Postal 2 thing in that movie.
Its not about member berries, its about the spirit and integrity of the world you are portraying.

You can't just have a 3d furry porn modeler make you a deathclaw for you to repeatedly put on the strip of New Vegas so that then you can pull out of your gaping ass a NCR ranger, from the same NCR you decided to erase with the addition of retard explainations like the retard you are, in order to mindlessly replicate the thing from the other thing that fans like more than the things you made.

Or rather, you shouldn't, but I guess all these years of cathering to dudebros, normies and redditors alike finally paid up for shitesda.
Just look at those fucking ratings, solid proof that crucifying people to send a message can be beneficial to mankind.

Hey, you chumps.
I need answers about how Built to Destroy trait really works.
  • The wikias and reddit crap (even in this thread) are always afirming only it is weapon degrading, not armor included.
  • Using FNVEdit shows it is only "Modify Item Damage", even in Raul's perk, which i know affects armor too.
So, the trait only affect weapons?
Only weapons unless you have a mod altering it. Be aware this may break grenades that you somehow disarm or throwing spears you shoot out of hands due to how abysmal their placeholder condition is. Broken grenades may sometimes explode when equipped. You are warned.

>Fallout tribals that act like the Asterix gauls
200w.gif

Look, Im just saying if we were able to get MLP and Fallout fanfiction that isnt half bad, you could do something with Asterix and Fallout.

Just have the Gauls be a tribe that the Legion wasnt able to conquer because their warriors are not only skilled, well trained, they also got access to a "magical potion" (aka, some chemical, probably a light mutagenic ala FEV) that gives them temporary super human strength and durability.

And you surprisingly dont have to change much of the characters and setting, just give it a Fallout coat of paint, like Obelix being a "half" super mutant given the whole "fell into a cauldron vat of goo when he was a baby" so he is bigger, stronger and slightly green and not that bright but he has a big heart.

You can even keep Asterix and crew not killing anyone, despite the heavy implication that any surviving legionaires will be very much executed once they are dragged back to Ceasar for failing him.
if i recall the unofficial patch makes lone wanderer not work with dogmeat unlike vanilla FO4

Which makes no sense because that perk working with Dogmeat isnt an oversight but a nod to how TLW was always seen with Dogmeat in F3's narrations.

Kind of a fail all around.
Actually he likes it when you show basic decency but the only thing that makes him like you is eating corpses. He's probably the hardest companion to max out.

Strong is a confusing character because he does show F4's S.Ms do have some level of general standards within their "tribes". They really behave like barbarian orcs more than ever but F4 almost takes it to a more literal level with Strong enjoying violence and for you to be "shareful" with others of your "tribe" but at the same time, he shows deep desdain for many good karma actions (not even mentioning the "smart" deeds that piss him off).

I wonder how much of it was intentional or how much is just modern Fallout's writing just being it's usual inconsistent self
"Fallout is about capitalism bad"

Fallout is about the self destructive nature of humanity. That was changed because that isnt a stance that can be made political.

To those that see politics everywhere, the lack of it is "oppressive" towards them.

Saw a clip from the Fallout Amazon series where the main character chick pulls a "ERM ACKSHUALLY" on the Legion in their own camp about the pronunciation of Caesar, but the writers are so fucking dumb they can't even get it right. What a travesty of a show.
They instantly crucify her so they got that part right at least
But it seems they worked it out during production, as I doubt Vince would've cameo'd otherwise, although his appearance is just him shutting on Uwe, so take that as you will.
Vince gets to punch the guy he disagrees with idea wise and Uwe gets his way basically, everyone wins and Uwe can keep his nazi gold for movie production!

Whats funny is that Bethesda super mutants would be way similar to Interplay super mutants if they did act like the orcs from elder scrolls and had strongholds with normal benefits on both sides relations with non mutant settlements but of course bethesda would not have their cannon fodder iconic enemies if they did that

Actually replaying Fallout 2 right now. I maxed out Luck by save scumming the Hubologist in NCR, so 10 Luck... but so far, I am at level 14 and haven't even gotten the Bridgekeeper random encounter, only the rival tribal (playing with RP) and the exploding Brahmin. And I started with 8 Luck.
Don't know about hours played, because it's the GOG version and I just start it the old fashioned way by running the .exe, but must be above 10 hours by now.

Well, I guess, Fallout 2 is just super silly and not serious all the time... there is nothing to worry about the Bethesda entries!

There is exactly one good video game movie, and it gets no respect because nerds would literally rather die than admit the only good video game movie was made by Ewe Boll.

The only good Uwe Boll movie if you ask me. Respect the man for his commitment to the bit about usually trying to piss nerds off by making bad adaptions of their beloved games.

So, Panoramix is an exiled Enclave science team member who made even the hardliners squeamish with his ideas on how to make more Frank Horrigans and even tried some of them on himself... it's just that he was a bit too blatant about it, so everyone hated it but let him live out of respect for his dedication to the cause. So he went trying out his ideas in practice on tribals and whatever leftover FEV barrels he scavenged by blind idiot luck and combat drugs he managed to cook from local trash. It'd be a funny juxtaposition with Ceasar the midwit who can't conquer a pathetic village right in the middle of his territory lead by an actual intelectual who dopes his soldiers to the point they can easily beat the Legion off in HtH combat and Caesar being Caesar sees it as a point of pride to not cheat with gunpowder. If the PC ransacks the druid's house, he can find a dusty random issue of Asterix with a description "reads a bit like Cat's Paw... but for kids?"

Listen, Fallout Equestria is not "half bad" it is "full bad" with the only thing maybe elevating above My Immortal being the fact that the guy formatted it halfway decently. Don't make me go full autism on this I beg you.

Watched a streamer go through FO3, but their game corrupted so they did the obvious thing: Fallout 2. I wish to hell and back I could get as absorbed into these games as they are. Just, full-on rawdogging an ancient game with all its quirks and annoyances.

I miss fallout but I just can't play games I've already 100%'d. I basically have to wait for FO3.

Point is that if you've been playing the same game for 15 years now, you tend to know a thing or two about it. I guess that's not the case with everyone.
i've never had to visit primm after the intial quests for the shops or black coffee or the casino because i just tgm at the main menu and player.additem f 99999999999 when i'm at doc's house. but i do see the ncr deserters because i make meyers my sheriff and they'd pop in by the time he got there. it's more fun than player.setav science, repair 100 and making the robot sheriff.

Maybe Panoramix was going to use the tribals as test subjects but he softened up to them, start to see them as actual friends over time and the Enclave falling apart back at Poseidon Oil Rig (coupled with the fact he thought the idea of travelling all the way to TCW was retarded) led to him becoming the a close equivalent of the original version of the character.

Also I do imagine the legionaires use guns but the effects of the "potion" legit give them the durability of deathclaws so most ballistics and weaker lasers just annoy them at most, By the time the effects wear off, every legionaire has had a knuckle sandwich.
If the PC ransacks the druid's house, he can find a dusty random issue of Asterix with a description "reads a bit like Cat's Paw... but for kids?"

You know, it would legit not look out of place if F2 had a random encounter with the Chosen One finding a friendly tribe thats clearly meant to be the gauls and you find an Asterix issue in a locked chest. If you got good karma, you are given a bottle of the potion that grants you max Strength and Endurance temporarly ("it has a pleasant, vegetable-like taste")

Postal was never a high art franchise so Uwe Boll, a trash director, was kind of the perfect pick. The world of the Postal movie is gross, shameless, very aggressive and corrupt...

And, uhhh, are we suppose the games arent exactly like that? I dont know what fans were expecting with a Postal movie,

You'll never see a movie like these days. Uwe Boll is 100% self aware of his reputation and isnt afraid of completely mock his haters AND himself for it.

He plays a character that is practically himself, right down to him talking about rumors he uses Nazi gold to fund his movies ("And what can I say? Its true!") and Vince legit breaks the fourth wall to ask wtf he has done to his movie, only for Uwe to reply "idk wtf your problem is, the movie's great!", leading to a fist fist (in which Uwe suddenly has boxing gloves). And eventually ends with his character getting shot in the balls, his last words being "I hate video games...". Now tell me thats not a man with an actual sense of humor?

I knew I read this whole post in Ceasar's voice for a reason

It's pretty clear he is a parody character. I mean, his whole thing is that he takes MacBeth literally and thinks humans have some sort of hidden milk factory that makes them strong, the writers knew what they were doing with a character for once in Fallout 4. Shame he's a boring companion and can only use like 3 types of weapons total.

There is no central theme under Bethesda and Amazon anymore, it's just an endless stream of memberberries for the sheep in hopes of selling more merch.

It's really telling that this is the only good movie he ever made. He really should have stopped making "serious" movies and moved on to making shameless shit like this, when the movie released we still had a few good years before Gamergate and what have you made these kinds of raunchy movies not popular anymore.

Because he's the kind of character that gives you such an impression you can easily imagine saying any line of text written without particular effort.
I want to see you do the same with a big character from bethesda fallout.

I could take the passage above, add extremely minimal flavour and you'd immediately be ready to picture a new vegas character saying that, with Caesar being the simplest as I would only need to add "that pile of shit that is" between "from" and "bethesda fallout".

I'll wonder how the Caesar we'll gonna met in Van Buren or the hypotetical FO4 made by Black Isle gonna be.
