Fallout series

That is really the way to describe it. Fallout 4 is the Bioshock Infinite of Fallout.
I disagree. Infinite was the product of suffocating under it's own ambition, being made 5 years before it was possible in it's original form, and not having proper management at the top from the get go. It was not the way it was because it was trying it dumb itself down for the "dudebro market". That said, it is dumbed down, no contest, but not for reasons you're specifying.

You can make the argument about 4. Personally, I also don't think that's true assessment of it either, but I have no evidence to back up my belief that it was the contrary.

…which only becomes stranger when, how tf is he supposed to cross the glowing sea... now that he's no longer immune to radiation?
the answer to this is the answer to many questions in fallout 4: don't think about it. nothing the institution says, does, or wants makes any sense. they are absolute nonsense.

rad X and rad away, homie will piss sparkles for a while.
one thing i noticed is that even on NV most of the consumables are meh-ish on the working rate outside your MC, like vera seemingly building up a resistance to med-x to the point she needed to take tremendous amounts of it in order to withstand her pain for as much as miraculous all of the pre-war chems are and shieet, also jet's formula being rediscovered but with cow shit instead.
and their rarity is wacky all over the series, radiation is supposed to be this big bad magic shit but everywhere from arroyo to the fucking institute you can find at least 5 bags of radaway, the fucking things are everywhere.

Chems in general have always been mishandled in the series, far too easy to acquire, usually much cheaper than they should be. Pyscho is military issued heroin but won't cost you nor is it really hard to find. Not to mention NV and 4 introducing recipes with chems which is a good way to break balance in two (hello, Rushing Water)

Radiation is pretty much a nonfactor in classics, except for the Glow and Gecko, so Radx and radaway just become store fodder. Surprising, Fallout 3 (and 4 somewhat) are the only ones that felt like they got radiation right.

At the risk of sounding like Emil, there were several years of world war before the bombs fell, with one of our combatants being our immediately northern neighbor. Military supplies get stolen and smuggled out all the time, I imagine that'd only happen more once the military more or less stops existing.

That... actually is a good point. I suppose there's an abundance of drugs, and you've still got producers (except in 1, 3, and 4)

I dunno. Maybe the actual ammount of things is not the issue, maybe it's just carrying capacity, or maybe even currency. I wonder if a Daggerfall currency system would work well in any of the fallouts.

Hang on 30+ hasn't posted here in a bit and it feels off so im gonna fix that

How dare you imply fallout 4 has anything good in it, clearly you are just a retarded bethesda tourist who hates Interplay and personally called for the creation of BOS while planting the idea of Bethesda buying fallout in Todds sweet little ear. You are a dumb child who clearly loves fallout 3 and hates god itself

Infinite was dumbed down to appeal to artfags who were desperate to call vidya games art, they pretty much gutted any sort of challenge or thought that the previous games had to its slight RPG elements and even made powers more of a novelty than a mainstay
Id honestly consider it worse than what 4 did, 4 still kept a retarded skill tree and tried to fill in the gaps with magazine collectables (probably the one RPG mechanic i dont hate from it).

They put all the challenge into the lady comstock fight on 1999 mode and it still is a fun shooter its just not a proper bioshock

Feel free to spend 3 hours reading the same thing by yourself if sloptubers trigger you, and not get anything due to your poor reading comprehension anyways.
It brings a smile to my face to see you're still deeply triggered by people shitting on Creetosis for being the bottom barrel when it comes to sloptube videos shitting on Fallout.

Maybe one day you'll try to form your own opinion on something or be able to share something you've found without seething eternally.

Fallout 4 feels lazy to me. It's absolutely UNambitious. The design, from the bigger emphasis on gunplay to the voiced protagonist to the perks only system, felt more like Fallout 4 was a game where Bethesda just phoned it in. It was the most predictable move on every front, it lacks any kind of intricate quest content, almost zero towns, every new feature is made with the express purpose of minimizing the amount of actual design work that Bethesda themselves had to do. Make towns? Fuck that, plop a workbench there and make the players do it. Quest content? Fuck that, radiant quests out the ass. Dungeons? There's like six. Fill out the map? Nah, make a third of the area water, cut any quests that have to do with the ocean, and make it totally wasted space. Make more than five guns? Fuck that, weapon mods.

Fallout 4 was a phone-in job almost on par with releasing Skyrim again.

Whats the main issues with TTW now? I took a notion to download it and start a new playthrough.

Was planning on editing the levelled lists and giving the enclave m4s and US marine digicam armor ripped from mw2 but anytime you load TTW into the GECK it just flatlines.

Fallout 4 stops being complete boring dogshit when you stop playing it as a Fallout game and play it as something akin to Gmod where you just dick around with it like a sandbox.

Speaking of mods, is basedmods just dead/replaced by a better website or something? The site just seems to shit itself whenever I try to access it.

But I want to play an RPG with a good story, different types of builds and meaningful story decisions.

basemods often shits itself from time to time because decentralized, best you can do is send them a message (contact@basedmods.org) telling the site is shitting it's breeches again and the modlist can't be loaded and wait...

This is true if you're entirely satisfied with shooting the same raider archetypes over and over.
At least in F:NV they put different names on each group of raiders (Vipers are from FO1 iirc, Scorpions and Jackals are new).
But nah, FO3 and FO4 just uses the same archetype TES uses from Oblivion (even Morrowind had near all hostile NPC's unique names).
