How do you expect to play Fallout 1 or 2 with a fucking controller? Are you serious? Point and click is perfectly fine for an isometric RPG of that style, maybe zoomies like you just need to get gud and actually learn how to play a proper video game for once in their lives so they won't have to play low-effort regurgitated toddslop instead. Those games are already as good as they are going to get without a proper remake, Fallout 1 has Fixt/Et Tu and 2 has Restoration Project, this is all you need. Put down that iPad and learn how to use a mouse or stick with your "shitty FPS with crafting mechanics".
If Fallout 2 filters people this hard, I can see why Tactics is virtually unknown, I can only imagine you shitters floundering and raging at the very first level(ignoring all the tutorials the game provides, of course).

i’m not using a controller but they l default keybindings suck you’d have to be a faggot to use a controller for that

I have played Fallout 1 and 2 for longer than you were alive, and I have never, ever used any keyboard keys for these games aside from A which activates the combat mode. Mouse is all you need to play the game, and a lot of RPGs from that time are like that, too. If you're talking about modern 3D Fallout titles, I really don't have a problem with the keybinds at all either. Controls aren't the issue in either style of games, old or new, maybe you just suck like our friend over there. There really isn't any big issues preventing people from firing up the older titles today, only the modern niggercattle zoomer brain not able to adapt to what they are already used to(or rather, been conditioned for with the modern games). Fallout 1 and 2 could have all the improvements in the world, but unless the gameplay formula was fundamentally changed into something unrecognizable, therefore defeating the point, it would still filter out I would say 85-90% of the current fandom today, maybe as much as 95% if we count the TV show tourists who can barely fire up something like Fallout 4.

Having a pre-war soldier in a post-apocalyptic world is a nice idea, but with horrible execution.
The VA is at least nice if you compare to Nora's one.

As much as I agree with the fact that most zoomers absolutely have no idea how to play proper video games, playing the original games with a controller is really not that insane, especially if you take into account gyro aim. I have a friend who played a PSP port of fallout 1, just with a joystick which emulated a mouse. I don't really agree with a remake of the game, but they could most definitely get it working on controller with something similar to baldurs gate 3, or just by a lazy port with a joystick emulating a mouse. Though I really pray they never touch the originals regardless.

No, I've got better things to do, unironically. I said earlier in the thread how people like Creetosis are never worth your time because no matter how hard you try you are arguing with someone who will never see you as an equal. You don't "win" against people like 30+ or Creetosis, you just waste your time and life. Ultimately, I think that's what they want too. They also know they aren't going to convince you, so why not insult you and waste your time as much as possible beforehand?

And you see I actually wouldn't even mind if he made a post as long as post as he did, if he didn't take every five seconds to insult me or just say stuff that's blatantly not true. I genuinely don't even know who he write these things for, other /v/ermin adjacents I guess? I knew people weren't going to jump to agree with me by saying I didn't care for fallout 2, that's fine, that's just the nature of interacting with the fanbase with some of the most rigid sensibilities (that I've encountered). It makes me a black sheep to say I think all of the mainline Fallout games are good, even more so to say one of the 3d games, especially what most agree to be the worst one, is better than one of the 2d ones. Never really stopped me from having fun. But I digress.

I'm fine with people attacking my point. We're all adults, right, or at least some try to larp as one? We can all sit down and have reasonable conversations? So I'll hear people out even when they absolutely believe in the opposite of what I do because they still see me as an equal and hey that's what this website has tried to pride itself on in past couple years anyways right? But you'll always have people who can't/won't play nice. Don't know why, fallen world and all that I guess. But the only correct course of action with people like that is no response, which admittedly I didn't take. The good thing I guess is people like that burn themselves out. He's already pissed off a janny enough to get a triangle, so now its just a matter of slipping up at the wrong time and place.

wow, this is one unpopular opinion. the third game is so weak it's your retarded cousin who needs a respirator to breathe because he forgets to do it himself. come on, literally the supermutie / stupid ghoul can't help you because it's your fucking destiny to die because of radiation, while for him it would be a walk in the park. also the voice acting is the worst ever. And for the second time, the fucking stupid main plot.

the one thing that really makes the game worthwhile, if you don't have literally nothing else to play, is the possibility to do 'evil' things. like killing everyone in your vault. i really appreciated it, it made the wasteland a better place
