So what if it's canon? What does it actually matter that everyone "canonically" loses after New Vegas? Unless Fallout 5 is going to take place in California or Vegas again, the most you'll get is a few NPCs saying something along the lines of "GEE WILLIKERS I SAW THIS GHOUL GET KNOCKED OUT A WINDOW RIGHT ONTO THIS POLE IT'S WEIRD THEY HAD A POLE BUILT THERE HUH"
