Oh sweet, a new Fallout game. Looks like it could be interesting. I just hope that--

Seriously, if it does have online capability, I just hope it's like a co-op drop in and out and not a full-on MMO like ESO (although tbh I would think they wouldn't try to hide something like that. I hope, anyway.). Or maybe have something like you and your guild or whatever are able to build your own centralized settlement, and you are in charge of managing that, taking care of raiders and hordes of ghouls or something. I could something like that being interesting.

Ehh, best not get my hopes up.

I’d imagine that the vault lookin completely empty at the start would be a sign that everyone BUT the main character left at 20 years and your character stayed behind for another 5 “just in case.”

Avellone working on the game hopefully means the story won’t be complete shit, and that we’ll maybe see some improvements on the engine and a reintroduction of some of the RPG elements.

I think I'm gonna adopt a "wait-and-see" attitude for this game. The details about it are a bit scarce, so I'll wait until E3 to judge the game on its merits, but I'm not gonna get excited for it as I usually am for a new Bethesda game. Who knows, maybe single player fans could still get a little mileage out of it.

Well that was unexpected.

The online formula people are going about, that's too easy, it could be just as bad as that but I won't 100% say it is or isn't until something further develops.

I suspect the "ITS GUNNA BE MULTIPLAYER!" horseshit is just spergs being spergs because erreyfing gotta have multiplaya dese days.

When these rumours came about last time, Bethesda Game Studios said they were committed to single player games, not fucking about with Multiplayer or MMOs (which is why they have other divisions).

But it's the internet, so rumours and fucking idiocy gets recycled every few weeks.

I wouldn't put it past Bethesda to feel like fallout needs to have multiplayer, even if they promised that years ago. Look at the direction they are taking this series, the changes from 3 to 4, cut out RPG mechanics and dialogue options, focus on combat and that settlement thing, it seems like they are going for an all new audience. Nothings confirmed yet and it might be horseshit, but it's still plausible. If it is a single player RPG, I hope they don't fuck it up as badly as they did 4.

Is anyone else disappointed it's gonna be another vault dweller game? I find they never do anything interesting with vaults besides turning them into dungeons or starting zones. On the other hand, maybe there will be some more diverse music judging from the John Denver song in the trailer. I find it hard to believe that people listened to nothing but 50's music until 2077.
