The mod is now gone, presumably via the nexus staff. I know they have a standing ban on political mods and that's probably what they thought they were enforcing, but boy oh boy does that look like they're trying to defend the frontier team

I didn't hear about this mod at all until about a week ago when GameSpot of all places released a trailer for it.

Pretty impressive that a mod got a trailer from a publication like GameSpot, or at least it was until all the shit about the devs started pouring out. The comments are a delicious mix between hype for the mod and commenters from hours ago coming in to explain why it's trash and that the developers are scum.

This last one is a good microcosm of what's going on in the comments. People praising the effort going into the mod as it was released followed by others coming in to say that the mod and its creators are disgusting.

Honestly I don't understand why you would try to do what they attempted in such a fundamentally broken engine.
The engine was one of the made things that held back the og team, the outer worlds has it's issues but at least it's engine wasn't so poorly made.
It made sense for someone putting a month or two to add something they wanted in the game, but fuck me in 2021 having cars that move like mine carts isn't up to par.
But then again if I was to do something like this I'd make it "inspired by fallout" and put some real money behind it, rather than wasting 7 years of my life.

But the Legion is A-OK despite the fact they're vile with shit like misogyny, racism, and erasing the cultures of those conquered in the name of Caesar. Haven't played the mod but with assets stolen from STALKER, I can only wonder if they stole something good such as the firearms but even then, they could of just used someone else's mod with permission like all the other gun mods and modder resources on the New Vegas nexus if they couldn't get someone to model stuff for them.

Only guess I have is that they wanted to make a mod for the game. Understandable in wanting to make your own mod and all but as far Gamebryo/Creation Engine goes, there's all the jank they have to work with. Even then, we got an engine such as Unity that one could of made their game on it. Then again, what New Vegas had down like the levelling system, skills, combat, and the like was already done. I could guess it would of been more work for one to actually make their own combat system and implement the levelling systems and the like. And the cars thing, I honestly can't really see how impressive it is when considering the following: the engine did vehicles before in Oblivion via horses and some rando modders actually made a vehicle mod that wasn't a reskinned horse.

The other following there is to consider with "usable vehicles in Fallout" and this could apply to 3 and 4 as well is the map size. If I were to drive a vehicle and it got me anywhere, it would of made the map look smaller than it really was. Add to that making it usable in the terrain it's in unless the developers chose to restrict it in certain outdoor areas.
