I can also just play the non ncr bits
The non-NCR bits are at least decent, female Legionary nonwithstanding. Just go with the Crusader campaign then the Legion one.
The questionable stuff is half the fun, otherwise you're just getting a CoD clone written by ten different 18 year olds.
It's like they looked at the NCR and thought they'd make for great CoD protagonists, when the NCR's main struggle is that they're the weakest faction in the wasteland when it comes to man-for-man logistics. (Legion soldiers are better trained than them, Enclave and Brotherhood troops have power armor) I can't see a good CoD game come from that, especially since in CoD, you're just gunning down cannon fodder who aren't as well-trained as you are half the time. Not to mention that Fallout: Frontier has nothing new to add to the CoD formula and they were just ripping off 10 different games at once. Maybe if you got to join the NCR Veteran Rangers, it'd be different, since the Veteran Rangers are the elite force that can give even the Legion's best a run for their money, but that wasn't the case.
Also, the writing is far worse than any CoD game I know. Even Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare have better plots than this crap. Having the NCR exiles desert the NCR because their general didn't want them to fight the Legion in Hoover Dam, only for them to fight the Legion in the North, without any support from the rest of the NCR, was completely fucking retarded. It would have been better if the NCR did send them up there and they were still loyal to it, and that would be the reason why they're fighting, to keep the Northern Legion from marching down south and reinforcing Caesar's forces in the Mojave.
A few people who had as little to do with the mod as a few voice lines or a song wanted their content pulled from the mod. I feel like anyone who worked on the Frontier is gonna be hesitant to put it on their resume.
The technical stuff is very impressive, though. I think the technical team are the only people who will want to boast about having placed tanks, space battles, and cars in an engine that wasn't made to support that shit.
