Containment Fan Art Thread

This didn't scan well and I used the wrong blue sharpie but oh well, I didn't put much effort into it anyway.

Everything about this is just...right.

Made this shoop ages ago for /cwc/. Seems like a waste not to upload it elsewhere.

Can someone please shoop a Jack Chick comic with Chris in it?

So I'm thinking of making Sonichu #11....buuuut before I do so, I figure I'd inquire with the devoted, true and honest Sonichu fanbase.

To field the preliminary questions:

Is this a slanderous trolling of the true and honest CWC?
Not at all. I'm not doing this to get CWC's attention, but if it does, then all the better. Maybe he might stop by and provide me with insightful critiques to become a master comic artist.

Are you trying to steal Sonichu away from CWC?
Again, no. Sonichu is after legally copywritten to CWC in the state of Virginia. If anything, this will be more of a parody, and we know CWC very well understands the concept of a parody being legal.

So why are you thinking of making Sonichu #11?
Because I feel the fans really want to see more of the amazing adventures of the characters they've come to know and love. And since CWC's strange disappearance, I feel it must be up to us, the fans, to carry on Sonichu's legacy.

Okay then, relatively unknown person, why should we let you helm this project? Have you any experience?
Because back in the day, I was a published cartoonist. Granted, it was all local newspapers and the like, but I did win some state awards so there's that. Plus, as added incentive, I attached a quick, preliminary sketch for the project (simple pencil sketch, maybe up to 45 minutes - 1 hour) to show I'm not BSing y'all and such.

What would the ETA be for this?
Well, because I have a pretty heavy workload now with my actual job, I'd say if I get enough positive feedback on this, I'll probably start posting the comic exclusively on the cwcki forums beginning mid-Novmeber.

So, whatcha think? Mmm, yeah.

Calling it Sonichu #11 is probably not the best idea. That name implies it's genuine. Otherwise, if you can make something entertaining, go for it.

Yeah, the title can be revised, probably for the best. Really, I'm open to suggestions.

"Bent Duck Tales"

Woo-oo.

Seriously though, maybe "Cwcville" would work out the best. Not too overthought and not too cryptic. And what's great is that the last three, four weeks worth of CWC has given me plenty of material to work with. Thanks Chrissy, keep up the good work!

Great artwork! I can tell by Magi-chan's expression he's going to be my favorite, with Wild a very close second. Magi-chan already looks like he can't believe his Father's bullshit. Are you thinking of making Wild's personality more like his namesake?

Sonichu v2

Comix get rebooted and restart their numbers all the time now.

Something like that. Maybe play up the fact that he now has to raise a daughter alone without his mother, and has left him mental broken. I dunno. Probably thinking too hard about this.

And Magi-Chan... yeah, definitely want to incorporate his super-intense/genocidal madman persona in the original run. One that feels conflicted due his superior intellect and the paradox that for all things, he is just a recolor.

Also, due to recent events, I am going to have to include Megagi somewhere in this storyline. No way around it.

wow, there are some really talented people on this forum. it's kind of amazing that chris' incredibly crappy art can inspire competent people to make stuff that's actually cool.

You could always do like they did with animated ghostbusters and call it "The Real Sonichu".

Considering Chris prefers the Filmation's [cwc]Ghostbusters[/cwc] over the Real Ghostbusters I think that would be perfect :D .

he's also wrong in his statement. the characters in the cartoon were the children of the live action ghostbusters from the 70's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ghost_Busters

actually, that seems more of chris's speed....
