Not sure if this is fanart but this is a head shot of my my crappy and totally original OC Cole. DO NOT STEAL

I start my drawing class this week so I did a few sketches and redesigns to serve as my "before" to see how far I come by May.

From left to right that's Alicia (Ice/Electric), Ferris (Steel/Electric), Nadine (Ghost/Electric), Roxanne (Poison/Electric), Graydon (Dragon/Electric), and Tracie (Fairy/Electric), filling out the Pokémon types that didn't get an EHP in Sonichu proper.

I almost immediately backpedaled on the color palette, and those little lines next to them are the reworked colors I'll use for them from here on out. In particular, I sapped the saturation out of Alicia and Roxanne's dresses and Tracie all around. It may not look like much but the new color for Tracie's hair is infinitely more aesthetically pleasing. Ferris got the least changes, as his palette was already fairly bland. I did, however make an executive decision from here on out that all my EHPs need to be wearing some sort of clothes, so I'll need to pick colors for that.

This is based on their GitM incarnations (chapter 16 is coming soon, I promise, along with more Director Amenities annotations), hence Naitsirhc using the name I gave him there. Since Chris and Crystal are basically wearing the same outfit in canon, the Classic and blue jeans, here I gave Crystal a white skirt and Chris brown pants (ya know... just in case). And since most art of Nait uses his Reldnahc outfit, the one based on Key from Excel Saga, I decided to put him in his earlier outfit from when he worked for his father at Team Rocket (hence the snazzy cap). I still have trouble with hair shine, so that's one of the things I'm going to really study these next few months.

I didn't put names on their plates yet since I don't have their real names finalized (specifically Punchy's real name). In general, for the EHP's, I drew inspiration from the humans who train their specific subtypes more than the other Pokémon of their type, so I tried to make Punchy a bit more of a martial artist (or at least a guy who could spar with a guy like Bruno or Chuck). In hindsight, I maybe shouldn't have given Bubbles a long sleeved shirt because her look is supposed to be overall pretty summer-y. Wild I decided to give a bright orange bodysuit to since otherwise his design is pretty monochromatic. Similarly Angie's now blonde with an updo since otherwise she's basically all white. She also got the most conservative and plain outfit. Magi got a ragged shirt to go with his vest. He's also the only one not wearing pants or something of the sort, since in GitM he's basically a feral child who has only recently been integrated into polite hedgehog society.
Here's to improving marginally in the next four months.

had this idea in my head for a while and just had to get it out: quick sketch of Chris-Chan and his stando 「HEDGEHOG BOY」

e: added some shading to Chris, gave Sonichu a tail and fixed the color palette. also made a stat page because I have absolutely no life.

tried my hand at re-designing the character i think is probably my least favorite: angelica

i actually thought it was weird she didn't wear clothing to begin with, wasn't she raised in a church? i don't think they'd be cool with her basically being naked the whole time.
kinda have an idea of some other changes to make her less boring, like making her struggle w/ her faith or like...her having any kind of internal conflict. idk man i'm sick as hell and this seemed like a good idea when i started

I'm not sure if this belongs on this thread or calls for a new one, so I'm putting it here to be safe. Would anyone be interested in working with me on an original Sonichu jukebox musical animatic thing? In particular, I could use someone better at audio mixing than I am to get instrumental versions of certain obscure songs, and perhaps a female vocalist or two.

The plan is to make it a bit less blue than Sonichu the Animated Series, something more of an earnest piece of fan fiction than something tailor-made to rankle Chris.

Drew some stuff in January after months of not drawing digitally at all. It's only incomplete and unclean sketches tho'... I was rusted, so I decided to warm my hand on Silvana, with a more personal anthro style.

I started to "paint" the bust because overflowing boobs defying any anatomical laws are fun to practice with.
Tweaked the design of the character a bit to make it more... "logical" in my opinion? But yeah, basically, it's just some quick sketches without any real efforts behind. I probably won't finish them, but hey I had fun at least!

Sorry for making most of the text so hard to read but I didn't want to distract from the, um, primary point of the argument. I also couldn't find a way to make whatever bird/human hybrid the real Marvey is look cool so I just made him a regular old Blaziken.
