Fan theories you like or hate

I've often seen videos or post from websites on fan theories. I've seen some really good though that could hold up and I've seen straight up autistic ones. Fan theories are made to explain something or just for fun. Anyone have any they like or hate.

I personally like the Danny Phantom Ember theory. It says that that Ember was an unpopular girl who wanted to be a rockstar when she was alive. She commented suicide (or was murdered) by lighting herself on fire when she failed was stood up by a boy she liked. This is supported by the lyrics in her song.

The Scooby Doo depression theory is neat. This theory is about that there is a depression going on. This is why many people such as doctors, professors, and scientist are stopping to criminal lows. Many of the places the kids visit look run down as well.

I hate almost any purgatory theory. Ed, Edd, n Eddy is probably the most popular. These theories explain why characters don't age or can come back after dying.

I like the theory that Majora made the Fierce Diety Mask and that Majora really thought out his revenge scheme against Termina.

Bobby Hill from King of the Hill is actually Bill Dautrive's kid. If you watched King of the Hill, you'd know that Hank Hill has a narrow urethra, which makes it harder to have children. Their only child with Peggy, Hank's wife, is Bobby.

Bill Dautrive is one of Hank's neighbors and high school friends. Bill used to be a star football player, now he's fat, alone, divorced and depressed most of the time. And he has a crush on Hank's wife.

Bill flirts with Peggy a lot, but Peggy doesn't like it. The theory is that Peggy had an intimate relationship with Bill at one point before Bobby was born. If you look at Bobby, he shares some traits with Bill. He's fat, he's socially awkward, he even looks like him a bit.

This link explains it a bit more than I could.

One Non Non Biyori fan theory that I find to be rather implausible is that Kazuho Miyauchi (the teacher) is, in fact, Renge's mother pretending to be her much older (by around 18 years) sister. The biggest problem with this theory is that middle sister Hikage exists and would either have to be lying, even to herself, when she calls Renge her sister (when, if this theory were true, she'd be an aunt and Renge would be her niece), and I don't think Hikage is that good a liar, or that the never-shown Miyauchi mother would have to have pretended to be pregnant even to her own daughter Hikage to cover up Hikage's older sister's pregnancy, which seems ridiculous.

The supposed reason for the deception would be that the Miyauchi parents would have been embarrassed by their daughter's teenage pregnancy but they live in a tiny village where everyone seems friendly and supportive so I don't think Kazuho would have been a pariah if she had gotten pregnant at around 17.

I've always hated the "Squall dies after Disc 1" theory for FFVIII. The game's story sucks ass and there's nothing that supports the theory in the game itself. It started off on various message boards as an attempt by the game's fans to make it seem like it could be more than just a childish romance story with unlikable characters and, thanks to MatPat, it's spread to other gullible idiots.

Is that really a theory? All the original scooby doo episodes were made in the 70s, of course it was during an economic depression. After the 70s the gang wasnt back together until the 2000s with those movies and Whats New Scooby Doo (not counting a pup named scooby doo which was a spin off)

My favorite theory is that the Enterprise was destroyed in Star Trek: Generations and Picard is still trapped in the Nexus, only imagining that he got out and prevented the explosion from happening with the help of his hero, Captain Kirk. The truth is, there's no way out of the Nexus once you're truly in, but Picard would never allow himself to have a happy fantasy existence if his crew were in danger, so he conjured up a fantasy about escaping the Nexus and saving his ship from destruction. Then he just continued on with the fantasy, imagining that he was still exploring the galaxy with his not-dead crew.

Meanwhile, out in the real world, the Enterprise crashlanded and was destroyed in the Nexus explosion, and the crew are all dead. I like this theory because it declares the recent Picard TV series to be nothing more than a dream - a Nexus dream dreamed by a Captain Picard who is imagining himself getting senile and overshadowed by a group of multi-culti misfits. It would explain why Picard was able to get thrown around in the series without breaking every bone in his body and how he was able to "come back" from the dead. None of it is really happening.

I don't know if these count as "theories" but I hate all the shipping crap that fans sperg about.

However, fan theories have actually greatly impacted somethings in positive ways. A great example is Transformers.

The whole idea of "Subspace" was, as far as I can tell, a fan invented explanation for why Prime's trailer disappears when he transforms to robot mode or why Transformers like Soundwave and Megatron are able to change size when in their alt modes. Even as a kid I thought it was weird how Megatron was as big as most standard Transformers, but would then turn into a handheld gun that any one of the Decepticons could use. Also, where do the robots store their weapons when in their alt modes? Not much room for a laser rifle inside of a boom box.

Subspace was created to explain that this is a sort of a storage pocket that the robots could access and use to store mass, items, and weapons while transformed into a specific mode. So when a Transformer transforms, excess items (like Prime's trailer or Megatron's mass) gets automatically send to Subspace.

Its a cool explanation for something the original creators didn't think about at all, and again, as far as I know, it came entirely from fans, and has now become an accepted part of Transformers lore.

TV Tropes has a lot of autistic theories, ranging from silly, to bizarre.
Bleach: Ichigo is a quarter Saiyan, Orihime wrote the second part of "Bleach".
DBZ: Saiyans were descended from humans
One Piece: There will be a second generation of Straw Hats
And my least favorite ones:
"Romeo and Juliet" was a Fanfic
And "Friends" was set in a mental institution and Phoebe is a cannibal.

I like the King of the Hill theory that Dale knows Joeseph isn't his kid and just doesn't care. He really is too hyper paranoid to not figure it out.
One King of the Hill theory I don't like is that Hank Hill is gay. Asperger's I can see, but gay is a stretch. He's just very careful, especially given his childhood.
