The Sinclair family didn't go extinct when Wesayso accidentally caused the Ice Age in the finale. Dinosaurs actually takes place in the alternate dimension from the 1993 Mario movie where people evolved from dinosaurs. Wesayso didn’t cause the extinction of the dinosaurs, but killing all of the world's plant life and trying to make it rain by dropping bombs in volcanoes was the primary reason why the planet was still a wasteland millions of years later. Also Daisy is a direct descendant of the Sinclairs.

I read a duology with a similar story. The first book starts out seemingly set in a fantasy world with mythological creatures like satyrs and shit, then you find out it's actually set in the far future after an apocalypse and the mythological creatures were created using genetic engineering because people thought it would be cool to create fantasy creatures, and then it takes an even more ridiculous twist because you find out it is actually set in the past and the main characters end up becoming Adam and Eve. They weren't the best books but they weren't bad. Entertaining anyway.

I can never remember their names or who wrote them. They're from the 70's or 80's. All I remember is one of them has a bright yellow cover with the silhouette of a satyr on it.

Reminds me of the Thorns trilogy by Mark Lawrence. It's set in what appears to be a medieval fantasy world from the beginning, and they use a lot of terms like 'ghosts' and 'castles'. Then you learn that this is set 1000 years after WW3 and that the 'day of a thousand suns' they keep mentioning was a nuclear exchange that fucked the earth. The castles are actually skyscrapers or bunkers. The ghosts are holograms. And the 'cursed areas that bring death' are just spots that are still radioactive from the fall out.

I prefer the Devil being Tony B in the dream Tony has while in his coma, with the briefcase either representing his identity (With Tony giving it up leading to either permanent memory loss or him remaining in a coma forever), or his soul, with him giving it up resulting in his death.

My theory was that the entire scenario was set up by the Devil to finally claim Tony's soul. Tony had a chance to wake up from his coma, but if he could be tricked into accepting his passage into the after life, he would die. Tony B went along with it by acting as the ferryman to get revenge on Tony for killing him.
