My guess is the religion they push in the game for the bad guys isn't even Christianity, but some psuedo-Scientology meets David Koresh shit, so the melt down over it is even more nonsensical
These people always complain about leftist special snowflakes but have a melt down when a Christian is an antagonist or their fucking target clerk says happy holidays instead of merry Christmas
Aren't there fucking truckloads of FPS games in which the enemies are Jihadi terrorists? Serious question, I haven't actually played a "realistic" (and I use the term very loosely) FPS like Call of Duty or Battlefield or whatever in a dog's age.
If anything, it's kind of novel to see a game with this kind of antagonist.
Alternatively:
>"These SJW liberal cucks need to stop fucking bitching and grow some thick skin when people say and do offensive things."
>"The bad guys in this game are white Christians? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

I'm gonna have to go with a no, considering we never hear about games that demonize Jihadi terrorists from SJW sources. I do know there is a game where you can play as a Jihadi terrorist at an airport in the prologue.
Upsetting the religious right is always a good way to get free game promotion!
Although I get the feeling the social justice warrior sorts are going to do a 180 when they find out some white male christian gamers enjoy playing as a member of a gun wielding Christian religious cult with doggo.
My only beef is how the'll justify why the CIA just cant raid their shitty little stronghold, it is after all in the middle of America unlike the other far cry games

Assassin's Creed's player character was literally a Muslim who started the game fighting against Christians, and there wasn't such a ragefest about it IIRC. Maybe it's because now they're all white and American?
Ubisoft is so fucking gay that even when portraying racist cis white Christian Americans they have to put in a manbun and whatever the redheaded guy's haircut is. Also, everyone has a beard.

The funny thing about /pol/ types is that they usually identify over-the-top right wing caricatures in media as a sort of self-aware joke. They did it Fallout's Enclave, 4's BoS, Space Marines from 40K, Rorschach, etc, etc. That is, of course, before /pol/ started to take itself way too seriously and started to genuinely defend the obvious bad guys and making up bullshit allegories about how they're not the obvious bad guys.
Honestly, the only way this could be irritating is if they try to make these caricatures some sort of allegory for real life (which ironically is what /pol/ does). That kind of ruins the joke and would justify the more retarded side of /pol/ chimping out.
I'm pretty sure this game will hit some kind of record for how quickly it managed to piss off the extreme right through the cover art alone
There was similar outrage when Outlast 2 came out (since it featured a deranged cult that uses christian iconography), and it was just as dumb then as it is now
