Like I get people don't really get where we come from but doesn't OP remember that most Filipinos have Spanish/Chinese blood and are usually tanned? The artist is also Filipino which is just more confusing. I hate interpretations like this that make certain races darker than they usually are because I'm pale for a Filipino and not mixed in anyway but it's like "Uhhh if you're from southeast Asia you gotta be the same skin tone as someone from sub-saharan Africa. The Rose there was sort of accurate in terms of skintone though so I'd give the artist that.

Anyway, that aside, I was just bored drawing these and the first Jade is fitting for a WWII poster.

Roxy in the OG draw looks like she has bloodshot eyes. Tumblr has all this art on Tumblr where the characters look like they're high, unintentionally.

As for the John art, it looks like he is radiating a sickly disease. Not only that but he looks like asian racist caricature. (EX. Buckteeth, squinty eyes and.. yellowish skin?)

Despite Tumblrites always trying to make diverse designs or characters they end up recreating racist stereotypes instead.

So I just made this account because I came across this thread and I want to make edits and redraws. Someone hit me up with that tumblr cringe and ill do my best.
