I see that most threads for certain farming games are well, dead.

So this thread is for discussing the very wide genre that is Farming games, their logistics and why a lot of people are attracted to them for some reason!

These can include:

Stardew Valley
Harvest Moon
The new Harvest Moons
Farming Simulators
+ Anything else Farming related

Damn, I love almost all farming games. I even played those terrible Facebook farming games Stardew Valley is probably the best farming game right now content-wise, but the older Harvest Moon games had a bit more polish to them, and cooler characters, and cooler events... I wish the creator of Harvest Moon would team up with Stardew Valley's dev to create the ultimate farming game.

Ok but Grey is the ultimate waifu in More Friends of Mineral Town.

Anyways, I have been a fan of Harvest Moon since I was 5 or 6 and desperately trying to make my father proud in Harvest Moon 64. It's a shame that Natsume ran away with the name in the States, but the Story of Seasons games have been top notch so far. I can't wait for the rumored Switch release.

This threads active so I guess I’ll talk about my own opinions.

Stardew Valley is a great game but I feel like I haven’t even got into the bulk of it yet because there’s a lot of content.

Story Of Seasons is OK. There’s so much to do that it’s not as fun as the older Harvest moons and everything is just too complicated.

The new ‘Harvest Moon’ games are rubbish.

Stardew Valley honestly sounds like a fun game. I like the 16-bit look it has going on and it seems very relaxing compared to other games.

My job pays shit though and has left little money for games. Maybe I'll buy it someday.

My reaction exactly. Really glad Rune Factory's back from the dead, but Nintendo needs to take my money for Animal Crossing already.
