Favorite 007 movie?

Quantum of Solace because I like being contrary.

It's actually Casino Royale, but I feel like QOS is hella hella underrated and with just a few tweaks would be up there with CR.

It's a shame how Daniel Craig went from being in the best Bond movies to being in the absolute worst, but I can't say it's entirely his fault. There's such a divide in movies made before and after 2008, and his run came right smack in the middle of it.

I've had gotten a more positive opinion on QoS on a rewatch. I didn't like it the first time, expecting to get a normal anthology-style entry, but it works as a part two of a James Bond origin story.

Quantum of Solace did have a really cool opening sequence.

QOS is very entertaining. It's what gets at the heart of the issue of trying to rank Bond films. The more entertaining Bond films aren't necessarily the best ones, but they're the ones you enjoy watching more. There's that strange contradiction.

Moonraker is absurd with going full sci-fi but god damn it's entertaining and jam-packed with great stuff. Even Die Another day, for all the garbage and non-sense. It's very entertaining and you actually enjoy the absurdity of it.

QOS is just a lean and satisfying action film which is underdeveloped in the script but not the execution.
