Whenever we get a shitty movie, one thing is almost always good about it.
This being the concept art for what they had in mind. Looking through concept art for bad movies always makes people wonder, “What the Hell went wrong?” So what’s your favorite concept art for a piece of media you really didn’t like?

Snow Queen from Frozen.

I wish they had stuck closer to the original story.

Fucking Epic Mickey :( The game looked amazingly dark and then it came out and it was just a slightly spoopy Disney story. Look at this concept art:

While I did enjoy Age of Ultron, there were so many missed opportunities for Ultron and the overall tone. Though I blame that on the lack of a proper buildup to Ultron, rather than Disney.
I like the Hindu God feel Ultron gives off in a lot of these concepts, and it would fit really well considering how Ultron acted and viewed himself in the movie.

I really liked the HulkBuster concept here, and really wish something like this were used in the movie. Though Infinity War gives pretty similar vibes to this.

I especially like these Vision concepts.

I'm a god damn sucker for the concept art of zootopia (the one with the shock collars)

I absolutely LOVE Olly Moss's work, and Ive had the Firewatch concept art as my wallpaper since I got my phone in like 2014.

His illustrations are so, so fucking beautiful. I seriously get goosebumps looking at his artworks.

I kind of want to own this one as a poster.

Dude is very creative, hard working and talented; and his use of color and his compositional style--I love that silhouette fill that he does.

I kind of conflate illustration and concept art because in a way they're similar in scope.

Oh boy, concept art. Boy do I have a lot!
The concept art of The Black Hole is very inspiring

Almost all of the concept art of the Metal Gear Solid series was also pretty well done.
There's just so much that I can show!
Also, I'm not sure if this counts but both of the manga & animation adaptation of Akira.
Particularly the animation because it inspired me to better my drawing skills just so I can animate myself.

I absolutely adore Dishonored and Dishonored 2's art, especially how the artists and creators took time to really think hard about what the people who inhabit the game's universe look like, how time, age, and their line of work would show on their face. NPCs and one-note named characters get the same treatment as the main characters.

Scenes typical of the world, what is not seen but are surely happening somewhere, at some time..I really appreciate all of the work the creators put into making the world feel lived-in and fleshed out.

Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands had everything to be a good game

tVGG_13501.jpg

A good character, cool desing, a reason to act, even new ideas like powers from the sand

tVGG_13507.jpg

tVGG_13508.jpg

Nostalgic scenarios and amazing views

But they just (ugggh!) ruined it.
They had not planned anything else than the superficial and just went
WAT_prince-of-persia-the-forgotten-sands-20100106071204766.jpg
and that's it, bad, really bad story telling, the prince has no spirit.
The game has bad playability, and is really really bad optimized, the game bugged 24/7 on me and if i died right after buying a level up power it would show as bought but it was not.

**sigh**
It has been 8 years since this one and almost 10 years since the last good one.
At least i was pretty satisfied with the movie which came like a week after this game

I liked Half-Life 2 well enough but good God are the things Valve had in mind originally breathtaking:

I can kinda see why they went with a more grounded art direction, what they went with originally had an almost Ghost In The Shell look to it, but man would I love to see a game with an art style like that. On another note, I miss that gritty, industrial type of sci-fi that you used to see back in the 80's and 90's, with sci-fi nowadays it's like everything is pristine, holographic displays are everywhere, minimalistic designs, etc, it's like Steve Jobs never died and became dictator of the world.

The first Dishonored is the definition of perfect game. Gorgeous art direction, compelling story, solid gameplay.

I keep hoping they'll do an art book for Dishonored 1 like they did with Dishonored 2. We got the book of the lore of the first game with some of the illustrations but it's really small. Like A3.
