I like pairs or trios of killers. One killer is an anomaly on its own. Duos (like Burke and Hare) and trios (Corll “The Candy Man”, Brooks, and Henley) are just fascinating anomalies.

Albert Fish. More horrifyingly fascinating than anything, nigga was fucked up on another level
That guy was a real jerk.

Panzram have been mentioned twice and he is fascinating. With people like Fish, Gacy and BTK you feel the perverted evil that drove their actions, with Panzram it feels like he is on his eight playthrough of a Bethesda RPG and this time he's only picking the evil and dickish choices to make things harder.

Israel Keyes. A construction worker up in Alaska who would eventually get caught for being sloppy at home, but his primary MO for years was to take a bunch of money (all in cash) to go on vacation in the lower 48, paying everything be it flights to rental cars with the cash only so as to leave no records (he usually didnt bring a cell phone either, this was late oughts early 2010 I believe) , and find remote houses while road tripping. He would then bury a 'kill kit' with weapons and duct tape to be used later somewhere on the property. Years later he would return to these sites on different trips, dig up the kill kit, and murder everyone he found in the nearby house. So a bunch of home invasion/murders would occur in spats overlapping with his roadtrips across the country but they would all be far enough apart and without matching tools so all would look random and separate from each other.

I love reading about serial killers, so much so I'm gonna limit myself to two.

The first is Andrei Chikatilo, a serial killer/rapist who lived in the Soviet Union. He could only get sexual satisfaction from the act of killing, and he killed a lot; he was convicted for 52 murders though he claimed to have killed at least 56. And he killed everyone: young girls, young boys, older women. And he got away with it for so long ironically because of the Soviet police's brutal methods. They would never suspect him and instead go after someone else, and because they were the Soviet police, they would force confessions out of these unrelated suspects. They finally managed to get him, and he was sentenced to death. He was ultimately executed via a bullet to the head, the most Soviet way to execute a criminal if you ask me.

The second is Richard Chase, aka the Vampire of Sacramento. He was a confirmed schizo that went way off the deep end when he decided to stop taking his meds. He began consuming the blood of animals such as rabbits and dogs under the belief that his heart was shrinking. He also started entering people's homes if their doors were unlocked; he believed if they were locked, he wasn't welcome. Chase entered two houses, the first one he murdered a young woman and the second he killed 4 people. Chase was fucking sadistic too; he would do unspeakable things to his victims, one of which was a 22-month old. I'll spare everyone the details, but this motherfucker is the sickest killer I've ever read about. He was eventually arrested and committed suicide via overdose on medication. During the autopsy, they found that his heart was at a perfectly healthy size.

You're thinking like Albert Fish now!

Also Sam Hyde is my favorite killer

Carl Panzram was probably the most Chad serial killer/rapist.
Panzram's crimes were detestable as fuck, but I cannot fully hate on a guy who moments before his hanging was asked if he had any last words and his response was: "Yes, hurry it up, you Hoosier bastard! I could kill a dozen men while you're screwing around!"

Seriously, bad to the bone to the bitter fucking end.

And that time he went down to South America to "hunt crocodiles" and in reality he shot and butchered his guides and fed them to the crocs. Seriously, if ever a demon walked the Earth in the skin of a man, Carl Panzram was it.

Edit: Additional fun fact about Panzram: After his capture and trial he was sentenced to death. The Society for the Abolition of Capital Punishment tried to appeal his execution. He wrote to them "The only thanks you and your kind will ever get from me for your efforts on my behalf is that I wish you all had one neck and that I had my hands on it."

BTK just because of how extremely fucked up the guy was and the fact that he documented his shit in horrifying detail

Love me some horrifying informative post. Inforrmafying.

He can't keep getting away with it :(

I read about what his daughter thought of the whole thing. It was fucking wild and devastating. She is at peace with him and writes to him (he sends her letters and drawings) but doesn't forgive what he did to his victims. She's the only one who still talks to him.

Well, I really read about any and all serial killers, and what I find most fascinating from a pattern recognition perspective isn’t necessarily what makes someone a fave so here is the Dexter of Brazil, Pedro Rodrigues Filho. In an earlier time he would’ve been a great king. Never killed an innocent, exacted retribution and punished other psychopaths, to my knowledge never killed a child or a woman.

The (((American gubment.)))
