Bob took him to at least one interview at McDonald's. Chris was upset about it.

Of course he was. I mean...

Seriously doubt it. Seem way too high paced a job. I like my iphone but dont think i'd like to make them....

He would probably need a supervisor who understood his limitations. Get him to push a broom around and empty garbages instead of dealing with customers.

But I think he could like it if he got in his head that he had to do it. He would get a sense of pride he would get from being asssociated with a corporation he likes.

It's not necessarily that he would like the job. A lot of people don't really like their jobs. Most people at McDonald's fall into that category. It's that he might be capable of really liking the idea of having a job. He's not now, but I think he could evolve in that direction if his evolution takes a positive turn. The fact that he turned down a job from Rocky really disappoints me.

Give him time; that may be his next step since this little bit of stupidity fell flat (but I hope I'm wrong).

It's even simpler than that. There's still plenty of time between now and the hearing for Chris to get himself into more trouble. He was causing a scene at Wal-Mart barely a week after spending a stint in jail. Given his behavior these days, what are the odds that he's going to behave himself between now and February 2nd?

I just had a mental image of Chris working at a Foxconn factory, assembling phones. I wonder if be has any idea how lucky he was to be born in America, or any other first-world, touchy-feely country willing to tolerate his bullshit.

I think he applied at those places because of outside pressure- trolls, weens, sweethearts- and would probably never work at a retail environment for very long, if at all.

He's not cut out for it. The best job for him would be a mailroom where he just sorts packages in relative silence.

maybe chris has less of a way to go until he hits that point

well yeah you don't remember reading about how the queens in the old days were banned from toy stores due to JERKS

The House of Windsor is still banned from Toys R Us to this day.

This kid is such a fucking joke. Not sure whether to cringe or laugh at his blatant idiocy.

I hate to think how limiting his life is at this point.

It's for the best. Who really wants Chris around their food?

Uhm... Virginia and New York are the only American states that hands out disabled parking permits for autistic people and Chris lives in Virginia. Second, not all of America is touchy-feely. Have you been to Texas? It's worse when you go south and their border towns are pretty scary. Even "developed" countries have their problems too.

There are certainly ways for Chris to get a job. The ARC for instance, I checked and there is a chapter in Charlottesville. But he has to make the effort to ask for help and work with people to get him a job.

Lol wut. Chris isn't going to get a job. Ever. Because he doesn't want to.
