When I was watching Dr. Seuss with my little cousins I was shocked to see that his cartoons had political messages in them (i.e - Snitch/Segregation, Zax/Korea & Vietnam, Horton/Hiroshima, etc). It was pretty fun going through my old Seuss books, that I got when I was 4, and try find the references to real life.

Hahahaha oh man, for years after reading "The Butter Battle Book" in 4th grade, I was convinced the book had been printed without the last few pages and ended on a cliffhanger.

I was almost disappointed to learn that wasn't the case and the whole book had been an allegory for Mutually Assured Destruction by Nuclear Bombing during the cold war between the US and the USSR, with the book beginning at an expy for the Berlin Wall.

No wonder Chris is obsessed with it. He can understand the themes and the way the morals pan out ( -> be nice and good things happen to you) is also in accordance with how he wishes the world in general would work.
It seems he's fond of Derpy pony cause she's a lovable retarded challenged special individual (the way he'd love to be seen as) and he seems to adore ...uh... that flying pony with the rainbow hair (since that's the way he'd like to be)... come to think about it, maybe he had a slinky on his head at the LGBT picnic cause that was his cargo-cult rainbow mane.
Either way, his attraction to the show most likely originates from the ponies being easily discernable in design and personality and they offer a pleasant way to kill some time...
Not exactly, he was well into ponies before Friendship is Magic came along, even going so far as to make a bunch of custom-painted ones (that looked exactly like you would expect given OPL's level of craftmanship). And I think he made his imaginary daughter; Crystal, into a pony who came back in time to make she Chris would father her or something in Sonichu.

I'm not so sure about this actually. I went to an anime con a while back and some of the things I saw would not have been out of place in a 4Chan cringe thread.
Well of course, there is tons of cringes.
It's just that from what I've read they do extra special care so that the kids are given a special treatment and have a best time (being first for every lines, making sure they are privileged for every events) and most of the time the "concerned parents" is anonymous tumblr posts.
One even had dailydot write an article about how fake it looked (it was a tumblr post talking about how a girl asked her to hide from a potential pedophile... four days after the con ended, and with the woman doing nothing after being pointed out the pedophile.)

Yes, because the equals sign outside of mathematics is solely used to represent LGBT rights.

I like the fixed grins though. It's the kind of expression I imagine the citizens of CWCville wear permanently.

I dunno.... I get a kinda creepy shiny happy people cult vibe off of it.

Harrison Bergeron, with ponies?

Can't imagine Chris reading Vonnegut though.

It is the year 2081. Because of Amendments 211, 212, and 213 to the Constitution, every American is fully equal, meaning that no one is stupider, uglier, weaker, or slower than anyone else. The Handicapper General and a team of agents ensure that the laws of equality are enforced.

I was refering to why he liked it in the past and what he likes about it now, though.
He likes the easily distinguishable designs in general and with the new show he enjoys the antics of that derpy pony and the rainbow pony. I guess.

Ways in which Chris is utterly unlike a Tralfamadorian.
He not only can't see forward or backward through time.
Shit, Dawg...He can't forsee what the consequences of his actions are....even the consequences 10 seconds from now.
and
He can't recall the causal chain leading up the current moment, even 10 seconds backward through time.

Ways in which Chris is exactly like a Tralfamadorian.
Anything he doesn't want to deal with, he'll just shut his eyes to, and to him the problem just "goes away"

And so it goes....

But, back to Harrison Bergeron.
The handicapper general would have a hard time upgrading Chris to meet the "Minimum Standards"
It's like a local newspaper columnist Dennis Moore once opined: "Some people are born to mediocrity, others have mediocrity thrust upon them, and a few have the crawl on their bellies like reptiles just to aspire to mediocrity."

Considering numerous people involved with it have, well, actually been arrested for attempting bestiality with horses... you're not entirely wrong.
I'm sure there are perfectly happy, healthy, and normal adult individuals who enjoy a show meant for ten year old kids and younger. About friendship being magic, filled with rainbows, and love and...

You know what? Never mind.

"Observing the trailer"
" Too many pointy things"

Not sure about the LGBT thing, but...

MLP = Illuminati

ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED!

I've watched episodes of MLP and I can tell you without any doubt that it's written with little girls in mind. The stories are simple and easy to digest with the message of being nice to each other. It's not complex nor is it worthy of the insane fandom. And yet ponyfags are totally into it because it's soft, pretty and lets not kid ourselves here, they want to bone one of the characters.

Pretty much why they made Equestria Girls - for the clopper

Chris just needs to start carrying around a MLP plush as a replacement Sonichu medallion and we'll have gone full circle.
or make a mlp medallion

I'm heading to the nearest target to cut her wings off of a standee, if anyone tries to stop me i'll be carrying pepperspray
i'll start a fund to get you out of jail

Like many has said, it's just Chris and his delusions, although, interestingly enough, it's the same kind of delusions found in mostly every other brony but in different degree.
It's no secret that everyone give different meanings to things, that's because individually, "I hear and see what I want to". With that in mind, it's expected that Chris would want that everything he see, complies to him and his ways (tomgirl, lbgt, etc) but to us it's nothing more than a bunch of cartoon ponies.
Anyway, season 5 is on its way and there's going to be more brony stuff comming up, this is just the tip of the autisticeberg.

FiM has made little subtle jokes here and there about sexuality, but a whole story arc about what amounts to a pony San Francisco would definitely be out of their comfort zone. This looks more like an attempt to cash in on the success of kids' dystopian fiction like Hunger Games or The Giver.

Bet when i said "Joseph Stallion" Chris doesnt even know the reference and go on with his LGBT.

Man, the equal sign makes Chris got sensory overload.

I watched the trailer the other day. Even as a pony fan myself, the trailer was pretty obvious it represented what it was supposed to represent. I'm pretty sure Chris is just looking for meaning where there isn't any. Which is funny, cause part of autism is trouble with subtleties

and he seems to adore ...uh... that flying pony with the rainbow hair (since that's the way he'd like to be)
Not necessarily. Chris has had a thing for tomboys going back to high school at least. So he eagerly latched onto her and to a lesser extent the farmer pony for their tomboyish traits. I would say he doesn't really notice the other four but he did make that kinda weird comment about the one's voice last year.
