I do believe Chris’s TDEE may actually be super high due to his weight. It’s not far fetched he burns over 2.5k calories by merely existing.

Of course you can’t outrun a bad diet. Two large McDonald’s meals and maybe a beer or two later and he’s undone all of his calorie burn if not ate more than he expended.

Yeah. Diet makes the biggest difference. You can control all of the calories in, but unless you have an insane gym routine, you only have a minor effect on calories expended. You burn a lot of calories through being alive, and a few more doing day to day activities.

And since Chris seems to have a really shitty diet, he doesn't need to turn into a health food nut to make a difference. He can probably become a lot healthier and skinnier switching to a normal mediocre diet.

For sedentary people, it's roughly 10x bodyweight in lb in calories. So if Chris is 230 lb, it's probably 2300 calories.

Isn't that just to do with the length of your legs, though? Women's strides are lower length on average because women are shorter on average.

not at all - there are many reasons (height being one of them); im a relatively unfit guy and my stride is closer to a womans average than a mans average, i would imagine a bigger factor being the actual distance you would normally walk on a given day and how often/consistently you do

chris is around 5 inches taller than the average woman but i think just below average for men (given he's 5 foot 10 supposedly), given his weight and (lack of) history with prolonged exercise, i would bet any amount of money that someone in chris' position, regardless of gender, would have a ridiculously small stride which honestly impresses me more than anything else

Chris, you're a liar. You just attached the fitbit your beagel, made it sniff your underwear, then, you sat back and watched the poor dog run around the house trying to get your smell out of its nose.

Eww, I bet he showers at the gym in the women's locker room.
That’s the funniest thing I’ll see all day.

Average height for a US male is 5'9.5, so Chris is slightly taller than average.

I think leg length is most important for stride size, but I really have no idea.

Haha you expect anyone on here to understand calories?

Why wouldn't people on here understand calories? It's an exceptionally basic concept. People were confused because tracking calories burned is mostly guesswork, while tracking caloric intake can be done down to the exact number, so it seems more likely that it would be showing caloric intake. Easy mistake to make.

Besides, you can name literally any subject and there's at least one Kiwi who can :powerlevel: about it for several paragraphs.

For some reason I've always thought Chris was really tall.

So whatever galpal or 'girlfriend' is encouraging this latest attempt at fitness told Chris to get a fitbit thinking that it would be easier to confirm Chris is actually doing the exercises they've instructed him too. It seems, however, they have underestimated Chris' powers of wheelin' and dealin' and he has figured ouy a way to cheat the system.

Eta: Of course it could just be that Chris is an idiot and doesn't realize his info isn't accurate since he has overestimated his abilities before.

I'm still wondering what has got Chris posting about fitness, regardless of how much he is or is not actually exercising.

Chris has tried justifying his health and fitness for years. This isn't much different than when he tried doing push ups. Or when he filmed himself doing parkay. Or when he curled two twelve packs

As if Chris would pay for an athletic club membership. If he really is going to a gym, it's a free trial and I'm sure he's freeloading to the extreme.

Yeah, but that was really half-arsed. He lifted two twelve-packs and did shitty pull-ups in a playground to demonstrate to the trolls how strong he thought he was. This seems more like an earnest attempt at fitness (as in, he's doing something and not just lying about it on the Internet.)

I was thinking the same. I don't believe Chris edited the information, but if he did, he'd have to be doing it for someone. I doubt Chris would edit the data for the sake of it, that's not really his thing. I'm sure someone is making him work out, only question is if he's editing the data or the fitbit is just garbage.
