I mean, I get the joke, but Chris doesn't really comform to the norms(or, as we've seen even the laws) of society and has created his own set of laws inside his head, so he's pretty much a non-conformist to the core. He follows the law when he fears comeuppance, but he thinks that he's above all rules, from secular to religious rules.

I think we all fear Chris' comeuppance.

Lol the reason he hates this episode is because all the ponies in that town are forced to be the same, none of them are unique, none of them are special, they are all the same, they have the same abilities, no one is more special than another one. So you can see how this would make Chris hate it.

I don't know beans about MLP, but I'm guessing by the screenshots Chris has posted in the past that the very message of this two-parter is "don't be a conformist, be yourself," which is certainly in line with the morals that kid's shows teach.

So it means that Chris is missing the point.

Imagine that.

Chris missing the point of a show for (man) children is hardly surprising, let's be honest. Also, him not understanding the concept of plot resolution is hardly surprising either.

Wow, I sure hope this episode of My Little Pony resolves itself in the second part. *sigh* Chris and an army of children are genuinely worried when cartoons end on a cliffhanger.

Chris is addicted to anger and rage. That's one of Barb's many wonderful lessons to her mentally disabled son - your default position to everything should be annoyance, frustration and anger unless things are exactly how you want them. Pout and complain like a little child until an adult fixes the problem. Well I've got bad news for you, Chris. It sounds like the Ponies are in big trouble, and they'll probably lose and then they won't be able to make the cartoon anymore. :(

Chris reminds me of those 90's commercial that try to be "edgy" and "cool" to sell something.
Then again probably back in the early 90's he believed every last bit of marketing hype behind the Genesis even if alot of it was just buzz words and flash. Also I am laughing that he think the Friendship is Magic episode will not be resolved by the end of it.

The beautiful irony here is that this was one of the better 2 parters; it is almost universally liked as it's a massive kick in the teeth to tumblr culture

They find a town where every pony is "equal" and are ruled over by a bitch who is "more equal than the rest". She keeps telling them all they have to be equal to be happy, but at the same time she herself doesn't want to lose what makes her special and different. Eventually the town rises against her, calling her out for being a hypocrite.
She tells them that they don't understand what being equal means and only SHE knows how others can be happy.

truly chris chan is the king of rebels

More like 'Rebel Without A Clue' than 'Rebel Without A Cause'

Dude MLP sucks. Stop talking about it Chris.
Chris should watch Star Trek instead. There shouldn't be any conformist machine-enhanced species who forcefully try to assimilate others into a group where everyone is pretty much the same (and pretty much all look and sound MALE). :ween:

But really, I'd say that Chris' massive ego may be at least part of why he doesn't like conformity. The more one conforms, the less one stands out.

You know we have an entire section of this board dedicated to nonconformists. It's working out great for them as well!

I didn't know people still used 'conform' and 'conforming' as terms of adhering to societal standards they don't agree with. I thought that all went out after high school when people grew up and realized they needed to get jobs. But it is Chris I suppose...

Chris is against conformity? He better go join Sum 41. Then he'd be edgier...about ponies.

Essentially, this MLP episode is the Interview for little girls.

I could SWEAR its the same basic plot.
