By saying he won't respond, he is getting people sympathetic to Barb leaving him to donate more money without outright admitting that it is false.

And why would Barb leave? It's her house. She'd threaten to evict Chris if she was threatening anything.

I have no idea what Chris is referring to because the "Barb moving out" texts are fake and gay. First of all she's a shell of a human being who stares unblinking into space waiting for the sweet embrace of death.
