To be fair, the people on the CWCki forums are, as someone (whose name escapes me at the moment?) said, "the trekkies of internet goofs" and one could ostensibly raise the question whether waiting facebook updates from a mentally challenged 32-year old autistic man like they're manna from heaven and latching onto his every word is an activity that is mostly practised by well-adjusted individuals that have more fruitful endeavours to spend their lives with.

Some people watch that stupid fucking Kardashian shit and hang on the every moment of that. Some people watch that mouthy little fat redneck girl on TV and hang on every word of that. Some people care WAY too much about sports, and follow every last detail of every single team in the league of their choice...

How is following Chris any different?

Also, I have plenty of interests and hobbies outside of following Chris. I play the Irish flute in an informal session group, I like to go to small ethnic hole-in-the-wall restaurants, I cook a lot, I go to the local pub trivia, etc. Just because someone follows the antics of a fat autist doesn't mean they have no life. It's no different than watching that little fat redneck girl make an ass of herself on TV. In fact, I'd argue that we have the moral high ground in comparison, because Chris isn't a child. He just acts like one, and poops himself more often.

I'm not here because of Chris-Chan, i see this place as a haven for bad/dark (and sometimes morbid) humour. I stay for all you comedians in here (thanks for all endless hours of laughter, y'all!)

It was not meant as a serious "you people are fucking nerds!"-post, just a tongue-in-cheek observation that failed to be funny. I've been following Chris on and off since my EDiot days from 2008-ish so no, I'm not saying it makes people social outcasts, just that following Chris religiously comes off as a bit of a goofball thing to do, nothing more.

Scientology probably wouldn't be interested in Chris, mainly because he doesn't have much money and wouldn't be able to afford their expensive courses and auditing ('spiritual' counseling). I couldn't see them taking him on as a worker in an Org either (where they work 12 - 16 hour days) because he just too damn lazy. The Sea Org wouldn't be an option either. They work even longer hours than the org employees and the work is often grueling and very physical.

Oh for Christ's sake! Ok, I need to let this out:

1. Chris still has no idea that he is not being bullied. There is a fundamental difference between being bullied and having the truth being told in front of you. Right now, the forum and others are exposing him to the raw truth about how piss pour his spending habits and financial situation is and because he'd rather not accept it, he reduces it to us being mean and nasty. It proves he is never mature to handle the truth. Now, its true that there are still a few weens out there but when even his own friends are telling him the hard truth about his situation and his shitty situation, you know there is a problem. Hell, if you read Kim's comment, she spells it out perfectly. Unlike Anna's (yeah, the dumb nutcase commented and it doesn't help).

2. There is a reason we are not mad at celebrities. In order for one to be mad at a celebrity, it has to be because they do or say something extremely offensive. With Britney and Miley, sure, they may have caused scandal, but at least they are successful at their craft (whatever that may be). Then again, why be mad at Tim Allen and Jay Leno as both are great celebrities (who have trouble making good comedy).

3. I feel like Chris is still using these stupid ass rages because he is holding in all the rage from his streams of bad luck, aka: not knowing what to do after Bob's death, his house burning down, financial problems and inevitably, having to find a new home and be able to pay for it. Keeping in mind that most of these he is either directly or indirectly responsible for getting into these situations, he has no other way to express his anger than to use a crutch.

4. He has absolutely no idea that in his financial and post-fire situations, there are some sacrifices that need to be made. I knew someone who was in a house fire and he told me the important things needed are shelter, clothes, and food. Chris also has a bad habit that I tend to have, and that is thinking of later rather than now. He claims he is getting Lego pieces to sell them as Sonichu and Rosechu replicas when he needs to do the commissions and send the ones he is currently doing now, not later to work on other projects.

I am not defending Chris with this post because he has lost my pity for him. As a past bully victim, he has no idea that there is a difference and by people cuddling him and defending him, its only making things worse.
