I don't think he's quite at the "having a sense of humour about himself" stage yet.
 
Thinking about it some more, it is odd he would remove nearly all traces of Ivy (barely) yet leave in the suggestion of Reginald not getting Layla anyway. I wonder how much of that comes down to laziness of his part for not wanting to drop entire pages in order to remove drawings of Ivy (now Yasmine) and Punchy going out with Layla and Reginald having that talk with Angelica (who really should be practicing what she preaches but Chris has no idea what Catholicism is). He could easily just remove "Yasmine" anyway but I guess couldn't figure out who else to stick in there or simply redraw those panels to just be the hogs and South Park clones.

If he altered the final pair-up, he'd have to make even more new art.

Honestly, a young woman having confusing homoerotic fantasies in a strictly homophobic dystopian society would be a really good story if done right. But... It's Chris.
