I think its interesting the way Chris divides the month. He gets money in the begging and survives the first half so that gives him the idea of being financially sound. He then segues to the second half where donations are needed but its as if he sees no connection to his actions earlier in the month.

Could not care less about the cat but its a pretty interesting update.
 
Considering that this is the same retard who thought a frayed and sparking extension cord was no big deal in actually kind of impressed Chris noticed that his cat had a serious injury.

Bravo! It only took him two weeks to notice his cat was missing a paw

I would ascribe it more to the limits of autism.

Chris' understanding of respect saw it being gauged on a very rigid scale in 2004. ("I'll consider knocking you and Susan up my scale of Respect each by 2 points (0=No Respect...10=Respect)," per this)

Beyond his particularly poor phrasing in the offer to "knock up" Mary Lee Walsh and Susan Hannifan, Chris' quip illustrates his perception of respect and how sizing people up goes (as of 2004) is highly crude and does not (or cannot) account for the vast complexities people are.

The characters of Sonichu are evidence of this lack of understanding laid out. No matter what kind of racks Chris tries to draw on Amy or Bubbles, they're still flat as boards because they are a bunch of Mary Sue retreads with nothing outstanding to them. They have no underlying subplots or motivations that would push the story forward, they just do precisely what is on the box, nothing more. (Admittedly, this also relates heavily to Chris handling his writing terribly and not making any sorts of planning, but his general lack of understanding regarding people is relevant here too.)

The notion that not everything and everyone is black or white is a concept that is either highly difficult or simply beyond Chris' grasp. His lack of understanding that is what produces these sorts of things.

Then why hasn't anyone done it? Instead of sitting posting about it, if you honestly believe these animals should be removed (I'm not saying I believe either way), there's fuck all stopping you calling animal control

American laws grant people an exceptional amount of leeway with regard to their animals. As long as your dog isn't gobbling up the local children as they pass by, animal control probably isn't going to care about what you do--especially when it's inside your four walls. Unless the dogs are running amok, being starved/tortured or being used for a dogfighting ring, it's unlikely anyone would intercede.

Seeing as the animals rarely leave those four walls, there's very little that can be done. Picking up the phone sounds great in theory, but in practice it's a long shot at best.

Right well firstly that's wrong. Secondly, these people believe saying animal control needs to be contacted believe that the animals are in a condition where it is warranted for that.

When it comes down to it, Chris saw an animal he felt was in need and helped it. These forum members saw (what they believe) are animals in need and did little more than make a throwaway comment about it. Yet here they are critising Chris for his animal care :medallion:

All weening and asslogging aside, the cats will be fine.

As scary as the (by now probably semi-sentient) horde may seem to christorians raised under more sanitary conditions, the cats are probably far more happy there, than most indoor cats who live in horde-less homes.

* There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore, tight spaces where only a cat could squeeze in. As any cat owner can attest to, cats love claiming territory untouched and unreachable by human hands.

* The horde and its ecosystem of bugs and insects (and possibly small rodents too) make for an target- and food-rich environment for cats to practice one of their favorite pastimes: Hunting.

The dogs may be worse off, but not so bad that euthanasia and animal control is a preferable alternative.

Yes, Chris is a terrible person, probably the worst person many of us know.

But I for one don't mind giving him a little credit when it's due.

He fed a wild cat, took in one of its kittens (and maybe got the others adopted too, though he's being oddly vague) and got it the medical attention it needed.

This, despite being of limited financial means, and usually broke at the end of the month (granted, largely self inflicted.)

There are plenty of people, many of them better off financially than Chris, who'd never spend money on food and vet bills for some stray cat in their garden.

Chris just rose a little higher in my eyes. Nice to see him do something for once that doesn't either benefit himself, or is an attempt to get china...

I'm not terribly scared of the cats being in any truly massive danger, though I do think that some of the conditions they may find will be problematic (particularly tons of shit all over the place and probably uncovered).

Cats tend to fare better than dogs because they, as you noted, can hunt. If the cats aren't fed or accepting of the conditions but make it outside, they can probably find their own way. If the dogs aren't fed, things might become a bit more tricky--and the cats may become part of their scenario too.
 
Yet more evidence for the irrefutable case that Chris lurks the farms.

Also Chris has no idea how to hold a fucking cat. We can only hope the poor fucker dies soon as a result of ill-treatment

His hair loss is as ugly as possible: it's thinning without actually receding.
This is a receding hairline with very little thinning:

Chris is the lower picture without actually having the hairline moved up. The entire top of his head is just thinning slowly.

Where a receding hairline would still coherently look like a hairline, you can clearly see based on the lowest roots on Chris's forehead that his absolute hairline is still where it used to be. It's the density of hair that's changed.

His scalp must look like a stretched nutsack. :c
