New Pokemon time? New Pokemon time. Wonder what we should call it... Bagloom?

as I have said before, last Christmas, I sent them a PetSmart gift card that remains unspent

I think that argues Chris didn't get it, didn't trust it, lost it, or something like that. We know he must buy at least basic low end food for his pets. And given money that he couldn't spend anywhere else, he seems like he would get a kick out of buying a couple toys for his animals.

That gives me a terrible image of Chris making a terrible commercial/advertisement on youtube entitled
"Pristine Christine and Barb's Puppy Mill: Not Raided by the ASPCA since the last litter." They would try to sell a new breed of dog (TM) that is really just some muts Chris found on his way back from Charlottesville.

Pain it yellow, slap on some Crayola® Model Magic® and sell it as genuine, true and honest sonichu merch

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that you didn't do it or that you did it wrong. I was just saying that there must be some reason Chris didn't use it. It's very possible that if he didn't know the sender, he didn't open it. Or that he opened it, saw a gift card and got all paranoid about trolls and stuff, something like suspecting it was empty and didn't want to waste a trip. Or that he had some dumbass thought like "A troll wants me to go to Petsmart. I'll show him, and get my pet food at Walmart instead. Ha ha ha."

To be honest, I am not quite sure what you are trying to get at, which might be why we are misunderstanding each other. It seems to me that if he he thought he was able to get a bunch of free pet food without any consequences, he would jump at the chance. So either he missed your gift, or he made up some dumbass consequences in his head for using it.

Or maybe most likely, it is general incomeptence. He opened your card, thought "oh, that's good. I will check this out next time I need to pick up stuff for the pets." Then he forgot about it, or the hoard swallowed it, and he moved on.

Yes, it did not have a vagina and could not buy him videa, Leggo, McDonalds, or bras.

I too thought it looked like some sort of black hole moster sitting on Chris' head.

This just goes to prove that giving Chris money is pointless. Mind you, i'm not criticising the person who sent the card. I think that giving him a card instead of cash was a smart move to begin with, ensuring that that money would go to something with purpose.

But the fact that the card has remained unspent for whatever reason, should prove that even when you're doing what is legitimately an intelligent move, Chris' stupidity outweighs pretty much anything else, including your own trying to outsmart him/do good for innocent living creatures trapped in the Hoard.

or it's possible (s)he just didn't want go PetSmart because they don't have human toys or vidya

I guess the real danger would be CWC going to PetSmart and instead of using the gift card for supplies, they ended up buying another pet.

maybe a guinea pig or parakeet, but they don't sell dogs or cats there, they give space to local shelters and rescue groups, many of which require paperwork and home visits in addition to adoption fees

I would chalk it being unspent down to the stupidity of Chris more than him being a horrible pet owner. He's clearly bought some things for his pets over the years, if he trusted the card or remembered about it he'd use it.

This is Chris we're talking about. If he was aware that he had disposable income to spend on something that's usually a drain on his finances, when it comes to anything, he'd jump on it. Like others have said, something must have happened in that autistic mind of his to put him off so I wouldn't overthink it.

Don't get me wrong, it was extremely kind and thoughtful of you to get something with the pets interest in mind but at this stage I'd stop bringing it up and just forget about it. You don't want your claim to fame to be sending Chris Chan a voucher that he never spent.

Eventually, Chris will be so big, and the cats so numerous, they will swallow the Earth.

CHANDLERCATSCAPE

This is how the Chandlers start hoarding cats again- one with a damaged paw, one that looks like it's homeless, and then excuse after excuse to justify another aspect of the hoard.
