Chris made a public facebook post about his Pokemon X/Y game. He wants his friends to play with him (but they won't). At this point, he's just asking for troll harassment by posting his friend code public. And if I'm not mistaken, is the friend code for pokemon the friend code for all 3DS games?

I used to think Chris did stuff like this because he doesn't know better; but by this point, he should. There is NO reason why facebook's privacy settings to status updates would be that confusing for Chris (or for anyone, even my 80+ year old grandma gets it... and she's crazy). I'm really (x9001) starting to think that sometimes Chris does things like this for attention. At this point in his life, even his "friends" are ignoring him. The past 5 posts or so that he's made haven't had any friend's commenting on them and I think he just wants someone to pay attention to him, even if it's trolls. To be fair... he did say he wants his friends to post under that status their own friend code (no messaging allowed); and of course, only his friends can post on it so maybe he doesn't realize that because it's public, trolls will know the friendcode of any friends who happen to be dumb enough to give it to him that way. Which reminds me, why does he do that? Why does he say "under the status only, no messages accepted"? Is it because he still gets a shit ton of messages a day from trolls? Because I thought non-friend facebook messages got put into some sort of special inbox you have to look into yourself because it doesn't notify you.

Random apologies to the universe are always a prelude to crap like this. "I FORGAVE A GIRL I HATE! HELP ME DO GAME THING!"

Sure him publicly posting will be leaving him open to trolls, but he's so thick to not realize anyone publicly responding to him with their code will also open them up to trolls. He's shooting himself in the foot right out of the gate.

And nothing against the pokemons games, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say none of his high school classmates will take him up on his offer.

I was thinking the same thing. EVERY TIME he apologizes, the next things out of his mouth are how someone should do something for him now.

I'm going to say that 9 is too high a number. A lot of Chris's friends are his age, a lot older (anna's mom), or a little bit younger (a few years at most). Out of their lives, they probably get maybe a few hours a day to play games, read, relax, whatever. They aren't going to spend it playing video games with a man-child. I say no one (genuinely) takes him up on his offer, maybe 2 of the troll friends he has will; just to get that sweet Christian Pokemon Avatar picture. (free hugs for anyone who manages to get it)

Edited the "nine" autocorrect typo.

Doing it for attention doesn't seem so implausible. Arguably he's been jumping around demanding attention from day one.

It's actually kinda sad. He despises us, wishes us all dead but in reality... he needs us. Us lot are arguably the only ones left who even care in any way what happens rather than just piggybacking for e-fame (i.e. Anna)

And tomorrow he'll whine that either A. No one has friended him or B. Too many "trolls" pestering him on the game.

Chris should give Farmville a go. All the friends you need to get extra junk and no way to communicate with them.

I'm just going to put out there that I'm in my early 30s and would be hard pressed to find three IRL friends that play pokemon, let alone nine

thank god I thought you had lost your marbles

I seriously doubt any of his friends, except for maybe Anna, even own a 3DS, let alone Pokey Mans. Most of his friends work, have kids, mortgages, rent, car payments, medical bills, credit card bills (well, Chris has those too) and so on. They don't have the time to play Pokermins with autistic manchildren.

So, did he just give out his friend code publicly for the first time ever, or was it known already? And can weens use it to harass him? I don't know much about how the DS online stuff works.

1st time I've ever seen him post it. And yes, as far as I've researched, the Friend Code is the same code you give to ANYONE you want to be friends with in any 3DS games. I'm just not sure if there's a super special one for pokemon x/y. I know that in games like Animal Crossing and the other pokemon games, all you need is you 3DS friend code.

As for weens harassing him. yes, it's possible. and it's possible for them to harass any friends dumb enough to post their code under that public status

Because you're an adult. He might as well be asking his friends to play Candy Land with him.

"Hello class of 2000, as we prepare for our fifteen year reunion, we should look back on where we are now in our lives with our families and careers, but first here is a video of a poorly made Lego recreation of our high school and the pokemons friend code of Christian Weston Chandler"
