People who establish micronations can be very interesting characters.
Yup. In Finland there's one musician/radio personality who started up a micronation called Valtio. He actually had a piece of property that served as the "territory" (a small plot in a pretty far-away region in Lapland), though most of the time he was living comfortably outside of it and describing the wacky details in a newspaper and the radio show. ("National sport: sex. National motto: Yes, we have one." etc, etc)

The funniest part was when the Finnish Army decided to reconquer the disputed territory. ...well, since the whole thing was heavily integrated to the media shenanigans rather than actual real-world conflicts, the President or other governmental bodies had better things to do, so ultimately the task was left for the defence forces newspaper reporters who decided to go plant the Finnish flag on the plot during a military exercise.

People who establish micronations can be very interesting characters. There's one guy who established a micronation, Molossia, in Nevada, which has a space program consisting of launching model rockets (from what I heard), and where catfish and incandescent bulbs are illegal (not just restricted from sale like some are in the surrounding USA, but illegal), among other things.
Yes, I've long been fascinated by micronations, and the people who found and run them. One of the most interesting cases is that of the Domain of Melchizedek, which is sort of the Scientology of the micronation scene.

Having a cyborg body like from Ghost In The Shell sounds seriously awesome though.

Being a cybernetic human in a dragon comes not only with the ethical confusion of retaining your identity against a machine, but also with the problem of losing your identity to your dragon instincts. Also, the dragon is losing his identity to both you and the machine.

I think cybernetic dragon riders would be far more ethical for the dragon.

Ah man, I love these guys. I recall the goons managed to dig up some terrible fiction written by one of the founders of this... thing. It was typical special snowflake wish fulfillment crap, complete with ranting about DA ICKY HOOMANZ!1! and dragon sex.

They're cybernetic dragon people? So they're basically Matt Miller?

Not all micronations are complete loons. Some are interesting social experiments and others are perfectly valid sovereign entities…
Transfer their brains into cybernetic dragon bodies.
…but this is not one of them.

On the subject of micronations, probably my favorite is the de-facto micronation of North Sentinal Island. Sure, technically it's part of India, but as the natives have a long standing tradition of sticking spears into any and all visitors, it's been pretty much left to its own devices for centuries.

Well, that's one way to prevent obnoxious tourists.
