Feminists complain about Wonder Woman's armpits

Feminists are upset over the appearance of clean-shaven armpits in the new Wonder Woman trailer.
According to EpicStream.com, Warner Brothers released the trailer (the last before the film’s release) last weekend. Around the 1:50 mark, lead character Diana Prince raises what appears to be a car, revealing – just for a brief second – her armpits.

That brief second was enough to trigger feminists, who quickly lashed out at Warner Brothers for daring to allow Wonder Woman to parade around with shaven armpits.

I'm the first in line to support #strongwomen but I just don't buy the idea that #WonderWoman would shave her armpits.

Liberal outlet Slate also joined in on the whining with an article titled “What’s Going on With Gal Gadot’s Armpits In The Wonder Woman Trailer?”
“Her underarms appear to be unnaturally smooth and enveloped in a vaguely green haze,” declares the outlet before accusing Warner Brothers of digitally bleaching them.

Not everyone is upset, though. In fact, many people are pointing out the complete idiocy of the outrage.

I never got why feminists embraced hairy armpits or legs

So, you're proud of shitty hygiene? How is that a victory for women?
Body hair is a male secondary sexual characteristic. They've embraced that, large body mass, short hair, men's clothing, and lots of other visual cues that mark them as men- in effect, they want to BECOME men. It's like a cargo cult- they think they can have all the shiny new things men earn with their hard work if they just DRESS like them. It also probably doesn't help that modern feminism is dominated by crazed dykes...

Actually, shaving is a fairly recent thing for women -- it only really started when hemlines starting going up around the 1910s, and shaving your armpits was largely confined to the U.S. and Canada until after WWII. (And even then, there were still a lot of women in Europe who didn't do it.)
I mean, back in the day you didn't expose your legs or your armpits, so there really wasn't a need to do so.

Also it isn't less hygienic to not shave your underarms - actually it's arguably more hygienic since it acts as a natural dry lubricant to prevent chafing (anybody who's ever shaved knows about the annoying, itchy red shaving bumps) and acts as a barrier to more harmful bacteria, plus a shaved follicle is going to be more susceptible to infection.

But like, aesthetically, chase your bliss idgaf.

There's nothing unhygienic about having body hair. Shaving isn't about hygiene, it's about socially accepted beauty mores. Not shaving is the feminist equivalent of the part in "Killing in the Name" when ZDLR says "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me."

All these people bitching about comic book characters not having certain features in the name of "social justice," should invent their own characters, but of course they lack the creativity to follow through on anything decent.

And so we get them trying to change everyone else's characters.
These people are MORONS!

I like how none of them bother to look at the source material.

Wonder Woman and pretty much her entire race are supernatural warrior women sculpted from clay by the greek gods.

None of them ever grow armpit, leg, facial, or whatnot hair because they were made without it.
All this makes perfect sense to me, but I guess some people are not artistically inclined to know that.

Well, not QUITE. Apparently a recent study found that men's beards are havens for all kinds of bacteria.

Hell, so long as women don't expose their armpits today, they don't really need to shave. If ya don't see it, I'm cool with it.

People are literally crawling with microorganisms. Like in terms of cell count we are basically more bacteria than human, and most of it is neutral to positive in terms of our immune systems. There are positives and negatives to shaving and everybody is different but one argument in favor of not shaving is that promoting the growth of microflora combats the growth of pathogenic (harmful) bacteria. Depends on your definition of "hygienic" I guess.
