I found his point about how the writers fundamentally misunderstood the Skeksis spot on. It goes hand in hand with the fundamentally Manichaean world view that lots of people seem to hold, where evil is a substantial "thing", especially in fantasy, and reducing the Skesis down to that falls wholly into that flawed worldview.
The skeksis are purely fictional, meaning they exist only in the minds of the writers and the viewers. How exactly can the writers "misunderstand" their own creations?

"Then again, we live in a world that seems to be run by demon worshippers, and major geopolitical decisions are based on misread prophecy, so..."

What a amazing fucking banger.

I saw FH go on the Critical Drinker and friends podcast and man does he look and feel out of place there.

He really needs to understand a live stream is a completely different beast then one of his video where he can go and edit out the ass parts. He looks bored and uninterested and despite his views being interesting if you can't grab the 5 second attention span of the typical Drinker fan your never going to get your point across.

Don't get me wrong I do enjoy FH but if he wants to go into live-streaming he's going to need to learn and adapt. Also don't hang out with the Drinker and Mauler Feral, your way above them in content. Their audience will never be your audience.

First Arch, then some jeet, now Critical Drinker. He really knows how to pick out the faggots to collaborate with.

I'm fairly certain he just accepts all invitations to podcasts he gets. Like V'Ger please, a tiny Star Trek podcast with 600 subscribers on YouTube, which he was on.

It a good point to mention that the Sages are just as contemptible as the Skeksis. They may be "good", but they just sit around all day making Mandelas in the sand and meditating while the world falls apart around them. Not surpring that point would be missed entirely by modern writers.

I can't describe how happy I was when I saw he has a fan thread. I love this guy.

Even if it has been said before, Feral's impact on discussion of The Domination of the Draka series will always be understated. He is the only person that actually discusses it. Outside of him is redditors nitpicking how realistic it is and making fanfics about the Draka losing. They are everything the usual suspects want to pretend the Federal Service is. If you hate them, that's the point.

Making Gwendolyn Ingolfsson fan art based on his wife is the kind of autism I want to bring to the function.
