I hate when people play the runaway game, especially if I pick Zangief or Honda. They just jump and/or air tatsu all over the place if they use a shoto, so now it becomes a game of cat and mouse and at that point it's not even worth it.

We should stop calling 15f in any way reactable. 250 ms under ideal conditions might be "average human reaction time", but FGs are not ideal conditions, and even then you aren't doing one thing in response to a certain stimuli. You're choosing a response to a certain stimuli then having to execute that response under very difficult time pressure. I would hesitate to call anything under 20f reactable depending on the first few frames.
This is your fault for picking those characters. Especially Gief.

How exactly is it my fault people are being pussies because I pick a specific character? I've met plenty of people online that can easily get in my face and fuck my shit up, what's stopping everyone else from doing the same?
Oh wait, I guess every match should be a zoning/poking match, because those never get fucking boring and stale.

i can fairly consistently react to 16f overheads offline and it would not surprise me at all if there are people who can do 15 or even lower. however, when dealing with such short periods of time even the controller you use can make a difference. when i used stick i wasn't able to do it because the time it took to physically move the stick from down back to back while avoiding going too high and getting an up input was too long. on hitbox i can simply release the down button which is a lot faster.

This is quite literally a skill issue. Both characters you mentioned have plenty of tools to not get zoned out. I'm not even disagreeing that people who run away and zone are annoying, but it is a valid playstyle and can be played around in most games, especially Street Fighter.

This is the point: if you spend time making a fully realized logic-driven button masher automated-robotic system for your fighting game, do you believe you are going to capture new players into the core community? Or is it, in reality, just a misguided attempt to re-capture the flame of the 90s when kids would want to play fighting games at the arcade and friends' houses for birthday parties and sleepovers for an evening? If so, do you really believe kids that can't spend 5 minutes to learn a special move input will care to stick around for long enough to even become a flash in the pan bump for your game's popularity?
Final question:
If you pretend that this will, in fact, bring in new people as Street Fighter fans, then how do you cope with the fact Capcom would rather have LowTierGod and Gllty (tranny, rapist) represent them than you?

Other than that, it's the same handful of people uploading clips of themselves pulling off combos (in training mode) and jerking each other off, so nothing special and pretty normal FGC behavior

Why would I let you get close to me as a grappler, especially in Street Fighter when in something like Third Strike I can't even apply Oki to hugo because he can red parry + negative edge grab.
I have no reason to engage you in close quarters when that's where you prevail. Your goal is to use your tools to move towards me and use intimidation and mind games. My job is to not get grabbed. It is that simple.
