Fighting Game Community (FGC) General - The history of FGC drama, general FGC shenanigans, and directory to more eccentric individuals and subcultures within the community

lol a lot of the screencaps in this video came from my posts and archives :story:. It's a shame he didn't mention Beezul getting accused of sexual assault himself. I'm glad someone with a platform put this knowledge to use at least, hopefully this helps turn the tide against the plotting den of vipers that now comprises Future Club.

Looking back, this reminds me a lot of the recent SuperMega controversy, as well as a lot of recent controversies/cancellations. Internet famous people from Los Angeles don't know how to communicate with each other and lack the moral integrity to stand by their friends, and they fold especially fast when the screaming hordes on social media are against them. It's NEVER about "accountability", it's always about wrecking someone's reputation and having them disappear from the public eye.

None of the people who currently run Future Club are people anyone should trust in business, much less any friendship.

The BunnyAyu callout is also still pretty funny in hindsight.

>"I will no longer be playing Skull Girls"
Said dramatically, as if she even played professionally or had any reputation relating to fighting games outside of cosplay fans (and the tourney operators that "banned" Mike) jerking off to her. She never posted about the game before nor after she called out Mike Z. Self-important, clout seeking bitch. Can't even spell the game's name right.

if he had kept tighter reigns and had a bigger pair, he could've weathered the storm and told that whore to go fuck herself.
They all went after him, and it definitely looked like an orchestrated attack. Even Brady made some BS solidarity statement that he later deleted. He still hires Kinuko, the artist and illustrator on SG to work on illustrations for Discotek releases. She was the one that called him out, despite her considering Zaimont "a close friend and coworker for ten years," but also said that she "tolerated years of sexual comments," "uncomfortable jokes," and "unwanted hugs," and that when she allegedly confronted him, Zaimont blamed her for his behavior, citing how she dressed. She has also deleted her statement against Mike Z.
Kinda regretting having backed Skullgirls back in the day now after all this sperging, especially with the IP becoming some mobile garbage.
Same here. It took me forever to download on my PS3 and it unfortunately installed the update that removed a lot of the fanservice, but there is a torrent of the game before it was toned down on Nyaa.

Wasn't she in trouble for making herself look more Asian in her photoshopped thot pics? Last I knew of her, she was with Swimsuit Succubus.

She got in trouble for that, and also Swimsuit Succubus + a bunch of other cosplay thots called her out for making herself into the Godfather of cosplay whores, emotionally abusing SwimsuitSuccubus and intentionally tanking the careers of other costhots that stepped out of line by spreading rumors, interfering with employment contracts, and ousting members of the community (sound familiar?). She's also a shotacon.

Funny how these victimized types almost always inevitably end up being outed as manipulators.

I'm pretty sure Mariel and the rest of Future Club deleted their statements due to the countersuit. Mariel and Francesca are currently on the hook and I suppose no one else wants to face their statements being put up to legal scrutiny.

One of my MK1 locals just gave up. There's at least 3 options for locals near me and they were the only one requiring vax/mask stuff. The last time they got together, they didn't even have enough players to fill out all the payout finishes.

@Celebrate Nite mentioned a hack of Super Turbo called New Legacy in the rom hacking thread and it piqued my interest. I haven't played it myself yet but I've been going over the change list and I'm liking what I've seen so far. The stated goal is to balance the game without rocking the boat like sirlin did with his failure-to-launch HD remix by adjusting the ST versions for fairer play and tweaking the Old versions to play as closely to Hyper Fighting as possible. Here is an example of the changes applied to N. Hawk:
N. Hawk example.png

The magenta text is a little annoying, but the page layout is easy to grasp at a glance and the hack director rationalizes why the alterations were applied in the first place, something sirlin kept hidden from the community until years later. The stages have also been modified to all run at the same speed, with a few pallet swaps added in for different times of day.

I'm frankly astonished that it has taken this long for the fgc to experiment with rom hacking, and I'm hoping New Legacy peels away a little of the unapproachableness of the classics and emboldens others to experiment with their own balancing projects. Certain games may indeed be timeless, but after nearly 30 of non-stop observation I think it's safe to say that there are objective improvements that can be applied. What do you guys think?

Addendum: here's a brief video guide;

Unironically the reason they're only now trying it is that they're letting tranny's in.

See back in the day before they became women the only people who'd make rom hacks where a certain kind of autistic nerd, the kind that any black guy in the world can smell out (literally in a lot of cases) and bully into leaving whatever scene they're in, but now these nerds are more protected than the blacks they can lay down their roots.

The dude that made the hack is Brazillian, and before that he was an extensive contributor to the SRK wiki, so idk if any trannies were involved in this

Born2SPD has a twitter, but it hasn't been active since january, so i think he just mostly chills on Discord/FightCade. He also has a YouTube, but again, it hasn't been used much

His Profile on SRKWiki (Now SuperCombo)

The dude that made the code to run the stages all at the same speed is Grego2D:

Another thing I wish he brought up was just how much vitriol was being spewed against Mike for his "You can't breathe" joke, they straight up wanted him hung from the gallows for what was at worst a tactless joke.

FGC people deserve nothing.

Looking over the Mike Z posts reminds me of my two posts at the Skullgirls thread. As I said in them, I'll never not be mad that the world of Skullgirls, its core worldbuilding, and most importantly plot as conceptualized by Mike Z and Alex Ahad got fatally compromised by wokescolds... and now it will NEVER be completed as intended. I still remember my excitement seeing it develop, the announcement trailer, the actual release. It's painful seeing reminders of the potential from back then.

Don't think he deserves his own thread, but I found a person of interest that a quick search doesn't bring up:
6arakin is a British Mortal Kombat TikTok streamer(That's a thing, I guess?) that is basically a younger LowTierGod who claims to be the #1 Kenshi in the world, despite not understanding simple, meaningless concepts such as "frame data" or "respect". Apart from the gimmick of wearing a menpo to hide most of his face, he's basically just the same as LTG - delusional about his own skill level and popularity, bizarre superiority complex, blames everything apart from his own skill level, throws pads and breaks parts of his streamer setup, gets mad when people put him in the corner, trash talk, Internet Tough Guy 101, the works.
Shame he doesn't stand out any further than being Zoomer LTG, otherwise he might be worth more research and maybe a thread of his own.

Does he play offline at all? My guess is no, but LTG and DSP both used to travel a little for tournaments in their younger days.

The MK youtube channel is streaming right now showing off some details about Omni-Man and Tremor. As usual, Steve Brownback (16-Bit, Stephanie), NRS' favorite tranny, is one of the people hosting the stream. Having met Steve in person and watching him talk over the years, there's a 99% chance he got feminized vocal chord surgery. This might also be the most drastic change in voice I've ever heard from any tranny that got it done.

Sorry to double post, but there's some lolcow stuff brewing in the Pacific North West Mortal Kombat discord group. CeroBlast showed up to @everyone and call out some guy named Adrian Mitchell for being a stalker. Posted his pics and a bunch of random screen shots of a conversation. Some of the community is white knighting, some is telling them to call the cops.

One of my friends in the community hit me up after searching "CeroBlast" on KF and said he dug around on Cero's socials and it looks like this might be a dude that rejected his advances. I don't have any other info to back that up and it's just someone else's speculation.
