Hurrah, I guess? idk why people still come to this place, but O.K.

Funniest thing is, KOF XV will get more new players because it's getting another season and because of the whole Capcom-SNK reunion and collabs, while MK is fucking dead, again, just like MK11
Oof. I just looked up the Steam active players of both MK11 and MK1 (reboot) and wow:

That is quite telling.

According to MaxDood, nobody wants to play MvC2 emulated... idk what he's basing this on.

Which is complete bullshit. The differences between the Naomi and Dreamcast versions are negligible. If you played it emulated, you played it in original hardware.

What a fucking dishonest grifter.

Wouldn't call him a grifter, but yeah, this literal soyjak is constantly having the most reddit takes possible

It's been like that for a while. Now consider that before MK1 came out, MK11 was the worst. People would rather go back to MK9 or MKX, but the netcode is shit compared to what passes today. If MK9 could get a fightcade release, I'd play the shit out of it.

I'd have to imagine you'd get a huge drop just from the hassle of international travel if was hosted anywhere other then Vegas.

A lot of "aspiring pro" player can't afford domestic travel - unless Saudi Arabia has a huge fucking FGC scene it would never be worth it.
It's not about moving Evo. It's a third Evo (which they announced some time ago but people apparently completely forgot about until now), like Evo Japan was the second.

They haven't confirmed where it will be yet but fearmongering about it being in Saudi has started for whatever reason.

The fearmongering started because Saudi Arabia in general has been buying into Eat Sports events. Started with the E Sports World Cup this year which featured league of legends. Not to mention Saudis have stakes in both SNK and Capcom, two of the premiere fighting game devs of course.
Saudis also have a shit ton of money to throw around so it happening there makes sense since theyd prolly pump the fucking prize pool high.
Doubt they would actually follow through with dropping out, but if they do, would be interesting to see how low the participation numbers would go afterwards.
Probably not that much and really the only tournaments that'd be super effected would be Guilty Gear (Basically where we contained all the faggots) and MK wouldn't have Sonic competing (Oh no.)
