Zoomers killed the FGC by acting like women/allowing women into the community en masse. It's okay though, there aren't any good fighting games left to give a shit about anyway, at least I can watch it burn down and enjoy that.

Skintight suits and half naked fellas don't knock the game's rating from Family-Friendly to 13+ in the way that cleavage does sadly. Sakurai basically said the only reason Mai was out was because he didn't want to risk Smash's all-ages rating.
Also Nintendo's been trying to figure out how to handle e-sports for a while. They courted speedrunners too, and well...we've seen how well that went. I've noticed they've done more e-sports general events via general online - I think what might happen is more that Nintendo take more control over vetting the players pre-event or only recognising the events they hold rather than any names from outside events.

Sakurai wanted the game to have an E rating from ESRB and an A rating from CERO in order to make sure the game reaches ALL possible audiences. CERO had more finicky standards so that's why Mai's model isn't even in the game.

It wouldn't surprise me if Jebailey has a few thousand corpses in his closet. CEO is a great time and one hell of a spectacle, so it wouldn't surprise me if the FGC's greatest showman has a couple of bodies buried in his yard (or whatever you do with bodies in Florida).

The sexuality in MK is mild compared to DOA, Mai or Ivy in my opinion, but I guess this is all debatable, either way we can agree the focus of MK has always been the violence and not the sexy, right?
Sarkeesian types always think male gamers are bothered by male eye candy and they're trolling us by keeping the male eye candy but removing the female eye candy.
It's simply not true, I've never given a shit, most male gamers haven't either, Solid Snake's thicc ass only makes him even more of a Chad, nobody is seriously bother by sexy males in games, so why can't we have sexy females too?

The only people being bothered by sexy/buff males in vidya are the same kinda people bothered by sexy/nice bod females in vidya.
People who are full of angst because they're too ugly or lazy to ever even try achieving that kind of look. Going to gym takes effort and so does caring for oneself, it's easier to be fat and smelly and demand cancellation of any reminders that it's possible to be/do better.

The sexy was definitely a focus once they shed the limitations of digitized actor body types & could make models that didn't look like absolute shit. MK Gold completely remade the MK4 female models in cutscenes so they could have fuller asses and huge racks, and they only kept working on it even more in the 3D era of MK, culminating in MK9.
As for Mai, SNK didn't really do much with her image since 1996. I don't see Jade any less risque than Mai.

Sarkeesian types are slobs with no drive to be remotely attractive and thus think the image of a fit and attractive woman is oppression (read: reminds them of the slobs they are). And because these types of people are now into casual gaming, they don't want reminders that they're revolting sacks of shit.

What guy ever saw Rambo II or Predator and came out offended that Stallone/Arnold looked alpha as fuck while kicking untold amounts of ass? None. When I saw films like Kill Bill, Ultraviolet, Underworld, and La Femme Nikita, or games like Tomb Raider, Perfect Dark, Mona Sax from Max Payne 2, or The Operative, I felt the same thing; I wanted to be a badass femme fatale than could send you to hell and look amazing doing it.
But the insecure legions of the world think it's better to not aspire to anything. The "liberating" justice mobs deem it unfit for you to want to look appealing to the male gaze, even if it actually empowers you.
You liked a naturally charismatic protagonist with a decent story in Alita over the insufferable Captain Marvel? How dare you! How dare you like the film that starred the hispanic teen and not the rich white hag? How very un-PC of you!

Honestly I'm just amazed at this year, it's a fire sale across everything but the shit that goes down in gaming is especially fascinating, communities burn to the ground, deers run twitch, gamer does a flip, entire fighting community are sex pests and degenerates and now EVO is le ded.

You're right the later 3D entries upped the sex factor, especially 9, but it's still just not on the level of something like DOA in my opinion, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
It's enough to make you want to retire from this hobby, shit just ain't much fun anymore when it's surrounded by such a toxic culture, part of the fun of gaming used to be calling yourself a gamer, feeling a part of a cool community.
To me "gamer" always meant something like "biker", it wasn't just a hobby, it was a way of life, man!
Maybe that is the future is it becomes a completely disreputable thing for outcasts from mainstream society, I mean it's already been like that for a while basically, but SJWs have been trying to change that, if they really give up though and fuck off (hopefully) they'll never stop smearing the name of gamers and invoking Gamergate as a boogeyman.
I was being kind of silly when comparing gamers to bikers, but at the same time I'm being kind of serious, that's what it may wind up like.
