tl;dw: She ripped her 3d models out of VRChat and never paid the Booth artists, even after becoming a highly successful streamer. She also sold plushies, figures, GamerSupps, and assorted merch until the artists were informed and they put a stop to it.
It's odd, because she could have simply bought the Booth model legitimately when she got enough money for it, and contacted the artists about creating merch - the second video shown above even shows the custom TOS the artist created for the Rindo model, it says "streaming okay, contact me about merchandising."
Even odder, she could have just done this:
I chalk it up to an underdeveloped moral compass and a lack of worldliness caused by neglectful parents. Hear me out, one time when filian was ribbing Pippa, asking her why she lives with her parents, Pippa shot back "I have parents that love me." Implying that filian's parents do not, and the usually quick-witted filiana did not contradict her.
The fact that she sits on a metal folding chair - which she regularly destroys and has a stack of new ones standing by - and the fact that she sits at what her viewers describe as "not a real desk" also points to neglected-as-a-kid to me.
Then, there's her dark non-sequitur style of humor, which tells me she was raised by 4chan and youtube. Plus, her uncanny knowledge of media from before she was born or when she was a toddler. Knowledge that helps her craft jokes that you won't often hear from other Vtubers her age. It all spells "raised by the internet."
Speaking of destructiveness, she regularly does painful, dangerous, and embarrassing stunts for approval. She was definitely the kid who will jump in a lake and eat a worm if it gets the other kids' approval, because it fills a void in her heart. Turns out it worked pretty well for her popularity and success as a streamer! Just take a look at her butt hole:

Her proudest accomplishment has to be The Vtuber Awards. Born entirely from filian's outrage after she spent an entire stream watching an award show - one where Dylan Mulvaney showed up, actually - only for the Vtuber segment to be a mere 5 seconds long. She worked with her agency Mythic Talent, a subsidiary of OTK, to put on a massive award show that is currently going on its second year.
filian is deceptively intelligent, I heard she was going to go to medical school before she decided to become a streamer. She has used that intellect to do things such as, engage in the dangerous sport of parkour, crash her car because she was singing, and join VRChat to get over her shyness.
Her shenanigans and antics on VRChat ended up leading her to streaming, and VRChat's green screen worlds remain her main tool for streaming.
Just to be clear, I'm not posting these clips to portray her as evil. I love how she doesn't give a frick if her humor offends people. It elevates her from a good Vtuber to an excellent one in my opinion.
