A troon server celebrity I crossed a long time ago on Coeurl had similar unhinged tales in their little echo chamber linkshell they made for everyone to constantly glaze them in. Talked about how they should be president just because they were a troon, and that they were discriminated against from getting a job as a history teacher purely because they were a troon.

I must be pretty lucky with my game interactions. All I see on xitter is them bitching about how hating Wuk Lamat is transphobic and "Don't associate with me if you hate Wuk Lamat, bigot!". Only reason I've been going on Primal at all is because Aether's too full for DC Travel and a couple of my friends are on Primal.

So really, they're suffering more than I am. I just happen to be subjected to it anytime I jump to Primal to play with them.

I noticed that troons often only play/talk amongst themselves on XIV. They either hate real women, or they feel inferior to them, or they need another tranny playing into their delusion. A lot of them are poly, autistic or sex pests. You can’t make shits up: they are all showing signs of mental illness, and feeding into their delusions is like encouraging this growing mental illness which they should be shamed for.
I wonder if there are women who are kind to trannies but in their minds they secretly think ‘that’s a man, it sucks I gotta pretend he’s a woman like me’ and they actually never try to befriend them (but remaining polite) while also pretending to be supportive of trannies. If these women spoke out more, maybe things would be a little less insufferable. I rarely see solid friendships forming between a woman and a MtF… but gay men and women? It happens.

So it finally happened, a community thread.

That being said, the ability to create what are essentially playable anime avatars attracts a lot of fucking wierdos. I think the reason trannys love the game so much is they can create a sexy anime cat girl and live vicariously through it. Their avatar can be attractive, fit, and feminine in a way they know deep down they will never be. The problem is none of it is real it's all just a bunch of rendered polygons and math.

I know we discussed this before but yeah, you can make a decent looking character here compared to its competitors and this game had the "fortune" to become popular during the tranny boom. If it wasn't going to be this game, it was going to be some other one. Does anyone know if they have infected kMMOs? I know Black Desert has a much better creator.

The "positivity" of the general community is not a bad thing in my opinion. If you are in a raid or a dungeon and somebody is doing something wrong, you can absolutely correct them, and I have seen actual flame wars in raid chat. It's not as much as a hugbox as some people make it out to be. Being a "positive" community member usually just means making your criticism constructive.

It's a double-edged sword. I agree that the constructive criticism is nice and rarely do I end up with shitters, some of the "positive toxicity" people are referring to is how the game gets treated like a sacred cow that shouldn't be criticized.

Has anyone mentioned Pyromancer? He was a self-declared "WoW lore guy" who moved to XIV during the whole Shadowlands things and is notable for his ADHD, needing to write notes for every story bit instead of just absorbing it and throwing a shitfit over incredibly stupid shit. I don't think he's interesting enough to have his own thread but he has done a DFE.
