Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

So, I gotta ask; what's you guys' thoughts on the different races and their players? From what I can tell; most FFXIV players tend to be pedos and trannies

Fixed that, with the addendum that Hrothgars are 99% of the time furries.

Autism aside, I don't really care what people play as or whatever and don't think it reflects on them, unless they're some sort of pornsick shut-in who names their character Naughty Bun'boiSlave or constantly talk about 'my bunboi' or whatever.

As for why they're attracted? You have built-in nests of coomerism (player housing), customization with cheesecake/fan service shit (the 2B items and other slutmog stuff) and it reeks of anime/JRPGs which usually attract these sorts of psychos already.

Then you have a community that more or less enables this shit from the devs on down. Like, instead of emphatically stating that ERP bullshit is not tolerated, the dev team just issues a 'maybe please don't do that in public, ok?' and then later has to change the ToS to give that request some teeth instead of stating that there's zero tolerance for that nonsense.

So, we have 800 different retards all shouting about their 18+ nightclub which is the 'hottest in Eorzea' featuring 'courtesans and a live DJ and drinks' 24/7 in Limsa or wherever your server's hub is.

Which just perpetuates this shit.

I'm amazed that they let this shit fly.

Changing the topic slightly.

Watching some friends do their savage reclears last night. God damn, OCE is a mess.

Joins a party that is 80 percent a static, wipes for 40 minutes and disbands with out a clear, join another group, people arguing over using JP Strat because they are used to NA Strat (don't join the group of you don't know the Strat being used??), can't adjust to having to be D3 instead of D4. I'm so glad I do not raid, I was frustrated just watching it.

Japan is most likely happy to have these people out of their legs. Social cohesion is why Japan has the clear rates they do in harder content. Less sperging over strats.

Well of all the oceanic people I met on JP, all just did the JP strats with out complaint and adopted the JP social customs (not being an annoying faggot in chat), but our world's have collided with two different playstyle and social cultures and it is hilariously awful.

The hunts during the first few weeks were just fighting in all chat about "well on x server we did it this way".

I was considering breaking my piggy bank and get the new expansion, and then I found out all my friends stopped playing FFXIV, and I really dont feel like trying to find a new static in this tranny-infested hellhole.

I swear to god we get more and more trannies with each expansion. Might as well still break my piggybank and spend that money on Diablo 2 resurrected.

Oh yeah, I heard about this. Oceanians from different Data Centers had a lot of culture shock when Materia dropped and argued over which format to use.

Can only hope players take the JP approach, because the NA approach sucks.

A friend wanted me to join their FC so I left my old dead one. Their discord is full of retards self-diagnosing mental problems off webmd, self-important FC officers, and trannies.

It's been like this for every single big FC I've joined in the past few years.

Consistent strats without logtism and a general attitude that encourages people to get everyone in their FCs a clear. Meanwhile I have people bailing in Endsinger farm groups because we're not respecting their heckin' uptimerinos.

That being said, JP is a soulless place to play in my experience. People meme on the chatter in public you see in NA and EU but I've met some of the best people I've played with just by dicking around in Ul'dah or Limsa in the designated places. JP feels like a dead game full of bots until you join an FC.

ERP is never going to be banned. It's been a part of MMOs since before there were MMOs. Blanket-banning it is a surefire way to absolutely kill your game, as we saw with PSO2:NG.

Yeah, I just more or less meant openly tolerating this shit. Like, people can still advertise '18+!' clubs or run around with porn inspired names with little action taken against them.

Them cracking down on those Adventurer Plates was great. Brush that shit under the carpet and then beat it with a broom if it ever tries to peek its head out. The ToS changes at the end of the year were a good step in that direction, but this was after literal years of more or less turning a blind eye to pornsick bastards.

Yes and no, I played on Tonberry for 3 years, I did notice there were a lot of active social hubs in random places around the server, granted they were SEA and Russian players but they would strike up friendly conversation and interact with just about anyone that they noticed visiting multiple days in a row, or would interact with you if they saw you in other places around the server.

Speaking of Russians and current circumstances that I don't want to sperg about, have you seen people catch shit for having the "Z" title? I mentioned before that I played in a Russian infested server and that title is popular there.

I just wish the blacklist didnt have a limit.

For the most part I'm not noticing the stat squish, but judging from my recent normal raid roulettes The Manipulator is now kind of an issue if you don't pay attention. In the past if the healers got Nisi'd the boss would be almost dead, but after the stat squish he's got enough HP left that dead healers without a summoner on hand lead to a very slow wipe.

Most raid bosses got beefed up from the stat squish just due to their massive HP pools. Damage doesn't quite scale linearly with stats in this game so whatever linear pruning they did didn't quite work wrt HP.

It's probably most noticeable with the Shadowbringers 24-mans which tend to take longer even than Aglaia.

I'm having awful luck in pvp, every frontline you get a bunch of mouthbreathers as a team that isn't even your grand company, and meanwhile you're facing a enemy team that is 90% healers for some reason
That, tanks going for an autistic GOAT strat, braindead mages and DRGs. Always gotta have somebody to micromanage the entire raiding party or else they'll go their own way or forget it's an objectives game and the only thing they'll need is kill.

Besides the fact I hate that they've once again streamlined everything and have everything depend on burst or praying you're spongy enough to run away.

Watching Zepla talk about politics is the most embarrassing cringe you could ever watch. “BLOCKCHAIN BAD BECAUSE TOO MUCH POWER TO POWER COMPUTER! TOO MUCH POWER MEAN BAD FOR ENVIRONMENT!” She sounds like a caveman.

Still stuck on P3S as healer and my god, that fight is such a pain in my ass. It feels like there's so much damage coming in during that fight that it means I can only throw out extra heals towards a DPS if the fuck up a mechanic a couple of times before I physically cannot spare the resources otherwise we'll either miss an add enrage or other party members will die. Not to mention my MP is just fucking gone when the DPS start dying. There's loads of points where you need full party members or you wipe.

Got up to Firestorms of Asphodelos and I reckon I can go for the kill. But I need a decent party cause holy hell, all it takes is one person and you're done for.

Environmental impact is the one argument about NFTs/blockchain I couldn't give any less of a shit about. Environmentalists have a tendency to hyperfixate on the climate issues that they don't like, but completely ignore the ones that might inconvenience them. I've had those types lecture me back in uni about how red meat is bad for the environment while also being a foreign student who went overseas from the US to the UK and travels back and forth for holidays, and owns a car as a luxury. You'll notice they never talk about nuclear power or upgrading the power grid to potentially allow for power surges to be forecasted for and power to be stored in a way that reduces excess (it can't be too hard to train a basic predictive model using things like weather, national holidays, and so on). If you can't tell the difference between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake then you shouldn't be giving your blockchain environmental impact hot-takes.

I don't even disagree with Zepla for "slamming" Square on this though. But I wouldn't hyperfixate on the environmental impact. I'd probably say focus on the fact that NFTs are such a exploitative thing which currently allows companies to sell literally nothing for actual cash, often promising the stupid or desperate a dream of investing a little bit and turning their life around, and ultimately losing it all because of how quickly people can decide NFTs are worthless and cause you to lose everything.

This is assuming Square are getting into blockchain purely for ventures like NFTs. It's theoretically possible they're investing into blockchain to make something genuinely positive and I'll retract everything if that's the case, but NFTs to a corporation right now is just a "free money" button (at least until it crashes permenantly), so it's hard to not jump to the conclusion of NFTs.

read that as ps3 and was legit confused for a second...

there's zero use in blockchains for squeenix or game companies in general. all they could do with it they can already do cheaper and easier with existing solutions, but less PR meme potential.
it's the 2020's version of MUH CLOUD, where most people have zero fucking clue what it actually means and half the time makes shit worse (because who would guess running shit over the internet instead locally is worse almost every time?)

sounds like the average random experience in any mmo. if you know where to find likeminded people you'll have a better time every time.

Before I started doing endgame fights I just assumed extremes and savages would generally be the same, but now that I've been doing them I indeed found out that extremes are more forgiving of one or two people being dead during a mechanic. Even if PS1 is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it, progging was kind of a pain cause you need everyone alive to properly resolve shackles and intemp.

Though on that note it seems EX3 is closer to savage on that because of the phases where everyone needs to soak a meteor.

Depends on how many people are down. Since the DPS check is so forgiving, it's actually viable to tank LB3 meteor soaks if people are down.

Extremes are usually fairly forgiving at the start of the xpac (to give new players a gateway into endgame) and at the end of the xpac (so people can farm decent gear to do all the savage raids on easy mode via echo). I'd expect the 6.2 ex to be the first 'hard' one similar to what Ruby Weapon was on release in Shadowbringers.
