Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

I stopped at level 70 and never went back to it.
80 is where it actually got pretty comfy (yeah, another meme, I know). The fact that Despair is a level 72 spell is a fucking crime, and without Xenoglossy it's a pain in the ass to weave OGCDs, plus the added movement is really nice.

Perhaps giving Leylines 2 charges and damage taken reduction buff while inside?
They kinda did that with Retrace (level 96, lol), which moves LL to your location once per cast. No damage reduction, but it wouldn't really help in Savage, because even if the damage doesn't kill you, the Damage Downs you collect would tank your DPS anyway.

Maybe also add a spell to teleport back to the center of the leyline
You get Between the Lines at 62. It's occasionally fun to zip back and forth using AM and BtL, but it's rarely useful because typically if you have to move away from LL, you probably won't be coming back due to mechanics (the most recent examples are 3xPuddle in EX1 and a 50/50 RNG platform movement/chains in EX2, both during burst).

As to what they'll actually do, who knows. Depends on what this Savage tier looks like, I guess. If it's particularly movement heavy and enough people complain, maybe they'll just add another charge to Triplecast and/or bring back Ice Paradox, and call it a day, or maybe it's going to be another SMN situation where it's just "fuck it, you're MCH now".

Watched this earlier, it's truly baffling how terrible and anxiety ridden these people are. I can't wrap my hear around so many parts of it - how can you find this content *that* difficult, why do you care so much about dying in a video game, how can you spend 6 years in a game and still be getting filtered by normals... genuinely I don't understand it.

My buddy got his gf to give the game a shot and we've been getting her through Stormblood. Yeah, she's playing SMN, but she is consistently pulling high dps while I see people with all 90's parsing below the healers in lvl60+ content. This is someone who's entire video game history is Minecraft, the Sims, and Fortnite and has 2 hotbars dedicated to minions. If *she* can get through this, how are adults with 6 years in the game struggling to get through normal content?? I just don't get it.

After clearing Vali ex 174 times I finally got the mount. Took me having to lose it 9 times though first.
Speaking of, idk how you ever get that many clears. Half of the "farming' parties I've joined are more ass than the blind parties I started this patch with. I've seem some of the worst healers recently and 1/4 vipers sits at the bottom of the charts for some reason. I'll probably farm it again when echo drops, can't be arsed rn (though my fc mate has the wings from both and they look sick, especially ex2).

Oh trust me, I've had my fair share of shitters.
Persistence and putting my nose to the grindstone. A whole week and a half of nonstop grinding.
All of the farming I did was on Dynamis btw. Somehow most parties where fairly okay. Very few times where I'd get parties that could machine gun through pulls without a death but as long as the fight was cleared without it turning messy at the end, I was alright with it. I want to say that folks who didn't want to deal with the unfiltered shit from the other DCs came to Dynamis since we're fairly empty.

Funny thing is that on the pull where I won, we'd already wiped once because our MT spaced out and forgot to tank one of the mountain fires, blowing us half the fuck away.

I stayed and helped the rest of the party clear more fights. Sure enough, another pair dropped and the WHM that had been pulling his weight won it so it was a nice time all around. Except for the SAM in the group who immediately left after losing lmao

The simple answer: XIV "players" are majority subhuman and paste-eating retards.

I can mildly forgive boomer dads or moms who play this game and having slow-ass reflexes, but on the opposite side I seen said boomer dads also purple parse savages, so idk what excuse they got. Especially the NEETs who mainline this game like crack.

Quick question, have any of you guys been experiencing an issue where the music sounds super quiet no matter how high up you turn the volume?

Not on my end, everything's working fine. You've seen others mention that?

When I'm playing healer in trials I'll spy on DPS sometimes. Bad DPS players are out there seeing ghosts or someshit because they spend a lot of time dodging mechanics that don't exist instead of just hitting their buttons.

I started reading that thread and HOLY FUCK there is some juicy cope. The Feedback thread is even more fun.

Meanwhile, I'm learning how to use that Hori TAC keyboard. So far, it's going fine. May try to run Trusts with it sometime soon, still need to memorize where to move my fingers so I don't just break an opener or rotation

Got the EX2 mount after 53 clears (wanted to say "finally", but it's a far cry from 174), in a party where we got 2 drops in a row. RNG in this game is cracked. Cool to see the mounts actually use different models, instead of being recolors, which means now I'll have to farm EX1... Also looking forward to seeing what Wings of Redemtption will look like.

I've noticed a lot of people are generally twitchy. After playing BLM for a while, it's just painful to see tards running around for no reason.

The mysterious dichotomy of MMO players.

In WoW WotLK had a leveling dungeon where the boss debuffed you with a stacking DoT that you could cleanse by moving a lil' bit. You could even just jump in place to cleanse your stacks. Many people died.

In FFXIV people turn the boss arena into a fucking track meet for no particular reason at all!

They probably got conditioned into having to move constantly
I was about to say, that's kind of it.

WoW for example has players moving alot more. Standing still just doesn't feel natural unless the arena is squeezed in, say, a stack.

Besides points where I shouldn't or can't move, I keep on the move. It's a really really hard habit to break. It feels more natural being on the go rather than being stuck in one place.

Actually, this is why I'm loving Viper. Fast key pressing, a pretty damn good ranged tool kit, and having positions keeps me moving too.

In my time between patches I’ve been doing the raids that I haven’t done. Currently I’m on pandaemonium.

I’ve been enjoying myself a lot more than the entirety of playing dawntrail.
Pandaemonium was a good time and I think a good sendoff for two of the major Ascians in the story.
