If you haven't seen Zenos fistfighting a lalafell, have you really beaten Endwalker?
I remember my friend being insistent that i would stream that when i get to it because he wanted to see how my character would do. Even though it was supposed to be a serious scene, he and i were laughing all the way seeing how my little character would be throwing hands against zenos at the edge of the world.

wait hold on, did Qarn still lack duty support somehow all this time?

(I wouldn't know, I completed ARR shit back when there's no such thing.)
ARR (2.0): 6.1
ARR (Snowcloak/Keeper of the Lake) + HW (Level 53, 55, 57 dungeons): 6.2
HW (Remaining MSQ dungeons): 6.3
SB (4.0): 6.4
SB (Post-patch): 6.5
ShB: 5.0
EW: 6.0
DT: 7.0
ARR (Halatali): 7.1
ARR (Qarn): 7.2
Optional dungeons other than Halatali and Qarn do not have duty support yet. (Cutter's Cry, Dzemael Darkhold, Aurum Vale, Dusk Vigil, Shisui)

Dude I love them adding Jobs people have wanted into the game for years as exclusively part of a Bozja instance that will probably turn into just more leveling content in a year or two.

Yoshi P did provide BRD and MNK as examples of these Occult Jobs alongside stuff like Geomancer or Berzerker, and said that there's still a chance that the latter kind of jobs could still be added, but to not get your hopes up.

Trust me, my hopes are about as rock bottom as it can get with this.

this is how i tl;dr-ed it for some friends

LL stuff:
7.2: Seekers of Eternity
New tomes: Mathematics
Duty Support for Qarn (Normal)
Pvp Series 8, Frontline (Secure) returns
New Dungeon: The Underkeep
Arcadion: Cruiserweight
New Trial: Recollection
New Unreal: Hells' Kier Unreal
Cosmic Exploration is Diadem 2
Occult Crescent has Critical Engagement analogs, and a CLL analog
Occult Crescent uses Knowledge Level (KL), and has "Phantom Jobs" (e.g. Geomancer, Ranger, Berserker, Time Mage, Chemist, Cannoneer) that give bonus skills
Relics will be enhanceable via Occult Crescent or "existing activities".
Man I remember when I didn't have to wait 3 fucking months for a normal patch.

It's just gonna be another Palace of the dead with an added gimmick of role actions from Citerion (or probably closer to just citeron 2) and im really tired of people thinking its going to be BRAND NEW CONTENT.

This entire xpac feels fucking lazy tbh

right now ff14 is the "nothing ever happens" in mmo format

No, it's Bozja 2, you actual retard. Literally complete with Critical Engagements and a Castrum Lacus Litore-like in-instance alliance raid.
POTD, HOH, and EO are 4-man instances called Deep Dungeons. Eureka Orthos was called a Deep Dungeon at every step of the way when it was being teased in liveletters.
Deep Dungeons already have the gimmick of pomanders/protomanders so they aren't adding Role Actions to it.

If you're going to doompost, at least be right about it.

Damn you got me, it isn't POTD/Citeron recycled, it's Bozja/Citeron recycled I am totally invalidated smh.
Bozja was shit too.
It's still just recycled content, like the planet shit is just diadem and island paradise recycled.

Whats with your autistic need to summarize things like a shitty chatgpt prompt?

Idk man i liked Bozja and it is my favorite out of the current ones considering how much fun i have doing runs of delubrum, i also like the resistance relic weapons. I feel youre just doomposting and regardless of new content youll just attribute it to being a copy of something previous, i dont think you can be satisfied nor can you be reasoned with if youre just gonna be a faggot about it.

I can and have been satisfied with content in the past, The problem I am having is we're waiting longer and longer for lower and lower quality patches. I wouldn't say older content or patches were always good or anything (Free Company Diadem lol), but it usually tried something new, which isn't the case anymore.

I just don't see combining old content = new content, especially after waiting so long for it.

Edit: Also I know some people like Bozja/Eureka, I just am never a fan of that sort of content where it's essentially one long hunt train in an instance that you just ride along in semi-afk to farm, to then do a dungeon or alliance raid. I don't think it's engaging, and would almost prefer the instanced content to be seperated from the field content entirely, unless they abandoned the raids being instanced content and massively expanded their impact and presence on the open field instance somewhat like some GW2 Map events (Storming a fort or some such, as an example perhaps) then maybe it'd be interesting.

Never really ran Bozja yet; I got it unlocked previously, but I never did much with it. Really should give it a try when/if I hop back on.

Granted, that probably won't be for a while at this rate; DT's MSQ is pretty shit from what I've seen and heard, and the patches aren't that much better.

I am honestly more interested in the Planet development system. Haven't even unlocked Bozja, so I don't have an opinion on the Field Ops. No hope for the MSQ, but I hope the trial is fun enough to bother with the plot(If I ain't dodging Climhazzard or a Seiken Stock Break, I'm rioting)

Incidentally, what job(s) are you hoping for?
Me, I don't care about new Jobs at this point, but I've seen enough wishing for stuff like Geomancer, Time Mage, etc. that delegating them to being exclusive to a Bozja clone feels like a cop out in lieu of making those Jobs actual, full-on Jobs. I know a friend of mine also continues wishing that they'd add a Samurai-like Tank role to the game so he can enjoy his Samurai parry memes like in XI (which will never happen because parrying stopped really being a thing in XIV ages ago).

I also don't really care for Space Diadem. Would have preferred they'd institute Garlemald restoration as a thing, like how the Levellieur twins (and dad) have been working on since Endwalker.

Well, the place that we went up to Mare Lamentorum at is in Garlemald so maybe it'll get a passing mention.
That would be nice, but I would assume Space Diadem is going to be more in the vein of Nero expanding upon his research on the moon after taking a handful of Garlean refugees with him.

Maybe they find some way to tie that back into overall Garlemald restoration, but I won't hold my breath.

It really surprises me that my opinion on Bozja is a hot-take. Any positive mention of Bozja gets the seagulls that comprise the Eureka "community" squakin' like mad about how wrong you are, but Bozja is my aboslutely favorite thing they've ever done in FFXIV.
There's tons of social stuff and minigames added throughout the game's patch cycles, and there's the regular stuff they add every patch (roulette dungoen, alliance raids, trials, savage raids). Bozja however was a zone that let you just hop on FF with your buddies and just "play" (with content being accessable regardless of group size barring DR/DRS) at whatever pace or whatever difficulty you wanted. Pardon the line formatting of the next paragraph, but it's impossible to read if I make it a giant text block.

Want to casually farm skirmishes (fates)? You can do that.
Want to just hit up the low-med difficulty critical engagements. Cool.
Want to start a trurbo farming train to rack in some decent dosh? Awesome.
Want to hit up the Lacis or Dalradia to try for the rare loot? You got it.
Got a large group online and want to hit up Delibrum or Delibrum Savage? I'm down.
Want to try learning the difficult solo-bosses? I'll be there cheering you on and will happily demo it for you to show you how it's done. Then you too can watch as people start learning your name as a bozja regular and cheering you on as you make progress over the weeks.
Want to just go people watching at a junction point or in base? A fine activity for when you're just chatting with friends.

This is something I felt was lacking during Endwalker after having it in Shadowbringers. An area where all of your friends can feel like they're making progress on one of their relic weapons regardless of what you're doing together helped a lot too. In addition, working on the field notes progresses you towards a 2-seater mount. Plus it's an area where you can just play the game as an MMO. Even if you're not feeling social on a given day, there's still a general chat to laugh at and tons of players running around. It really made the zones feel "alive". I played around in Bozja so much that I only had something like 5 relic weapons left to complete before unsubbing. There is no better place to go when you're stuck in an "I unno. What do YOU wanna do" loop with your friends.
When the new field op comes out, unfortunately Bozja will almost certainly take a population hit, but it was a great time. That said, I have managed to 2-man almost everything in that zone at light level 25 barring Dalradia and Delibrum. The two man run of a Lacus I did with some rando in southern front at fuck-you-o-clock in the morning where we were both like "Can this be 2-manned? Fuck it, we both can see we have turbo dps elixirs going on a white mage and dark knight. Let's bust out a couple of mid-high tier actions and see if we can do this." is something I won't forget for a long time.

If the new zone can recapture some of that feeling, I will be very tempted to resub. There's no easier way to make me buy into (or back into in this case) a game than having my friends ask me to come play with them.

PS: For the record Eureka lovers, I don't hate Eureka. I just vastly prefer Bozja. Unless you're a Pagos gremlin or BA gatekeeper. My hate for them burns with the firey passion of 1000 blazing suns.
