And I somehow knew from the ugly, smug (smugly) lala smirk that this video was probably annoying and not very funny. I just knew the creator of the video was at risk of trooning out as well. It's this weird thing about weeb culture. There is an overfocus on things anime girls do, and one of those is looking at pictures of smug anime girls, marveling at how smug she looks. Its good for reaction images sometimes, but I cant help but think its troon-adjacent. Its weird to explain and I have trouble putting it into words, and this connection might not even be there, but it is what I always thought when I saw this ugly thing.

I understand completely. I actually like it too, but I failed to articulate my thoughts well. What I meant is that these small anime traits in the hands of some obsessive weeds end up turning into brain rot and trooning out. On its own, its as innocent a character trait as can be, but when I find someone liking it enough to talk about it in a way that gives it undue importance or value, even just a little, it tells me that person is weebier and more obsessive than average, which are good candidates for troonism. Akin to when people used to joke about having a fetish for touhou character armpits, and then this drew actual armpit fetishists out ofbthe woodwork. When I saw the thumbnail, I knew that someone who would put that as the thumbnail was someone at risk at trooning out.

Deep down the trannies know this but believe they can somehow escape the passage of time. Imagining what their body will look like in 20 or 30 years is anathema to them so they hide online and in MMOs where everything can be carefully controlled. On some level everyone can relate to the anxiety of aging, but it makes me sad to imagine the genuine dread they feel at the knowledge they will only look more and more like a man as their hairline recedes and their skin grows sallow around their broad skull. The idea that humans have a life cycle, that there are certain ages where you should do things like enjoy your prime, have children, build respect among your peers and craft a legacy, is the same as death to them.

I actually just got out of a party where we did a bunch of consistent clears with the BD EF2 strat. I was actually playing as picto and acting as a fake melee.
Ended up winning the wings too.

I remember so many dudes back in the day played as a Mithra in XI (which was female only unlike ARR Mi’qote) and female Mi’qote (who were gender locked prior to ARR) in XIV 1.0. It was a very common meme to call them Manthras and Manqotes because pretty much every catgirl was played by a guy. So I’m not shocked by any of this at all.

Sat afk in 20 discords, making sure to show up just to remind people that they're there and then leave again. Repeat for 8 hours of the day and you got a few hours left to boot up a game and leave it in the background to let people think you're playing games. All instead of just.. being. Playing. Doing whatever, whenever you do it. Freedom.
