It's apparently a side-effect of some 'unfair competition' law in Nipland. Cheaters, botters, and RMTers present unfair competition to the gacha industry and so they're outright illegal.

I just found out about this myself because I thought I'd go look at it out of curiosity. So over to YouTube I go.

And this is not the first time he's done this either. He has done this SEVERAL times. I can't find any of his past VODs, but he has been known to treat his viewers like shit and act like a bitch boy non-stop.

i finally got around to watching Pyromancer's sperging that was posted on here and wew lad, he really did pivot so fucking hard towards FFXIV lmao, the faggy video where he replaces his WoW merch with FFXIV shit is so fucking funny LMAO
i dunno the full timeline or something but did he really only play for like 3 to 4 months max, sperg out at blizzard for being incompentent or whatever, but then immediatly consoomed a fuckton of FFXIV merch as soon as he got views from him crying about it?

-the Endwalker collectors edition
-various plushies (black mage and carbuncle tat)
-a map of eorzea
-a fucking faggy ass portrait of Emet Selch

Also, been watching the fucking highlight video and the parts where the uploader contrasts him gushing, squealing, and just absolutely fellating FFXIV with him absolutely sperging at chat is fucking hilarious

Honestly. The whole banning over mods stuff does kinda suck. But less so in a "this is disgusting SE shouldn't be allowed to do this" way, and more in a "they can do what they want but it sucks that they are going to this level". kinda way.

Compare it to Nintendo pulling down fan-games or music reuploads from YouTube. They can do it, and you shouldn't be surprised when they do it. But man it sucks.

That said, literally just don't stream your mods and you're fine. Your stream doesn't need to see your ACT overlay. I'd be more upset if they literally begun scanning for these mods and banned people using them. But for now, they're literally just taking down a couple of the most egregious offenders to make a quick example. They'll forget about it this time next month.

This kinda shit is my pet peeve though. Suicides are rarely simple and often have multiple contributing factors, and understanding what actually happened can be really useful for identifying a bunch of failure points (why did it start? how did it spiral? how did nobody notice? was there a point where a line was crossed? was there underlying issues? how can people stop it again?). It's rarely as simple as just "the bad people made them so sad that they killed themselves, so we need to stop the bad people", and I get a bit disgusted by the people who frame it as such to try and paint their opponents in a bad light while preaching about being so virtuous.

Might as well dig up the bodies of the dead and attach their limbs to strings if you're so determined to puppet the dead to fit your own agenda. They don't care about the dead and preventing suicides. They just wanna sling some shit.

Asmongold mentioned performance anxiety in his video. Pyro has been doing less and less well on Twitch. He went from having a 4,000 viewer stream to 1,000 because he is done with the story. When he plays anything else, that number drops to the 400s. Viewers don't give a fuck when he plays anything else than Final Fantasy 14.
