Not when they're so far ahead that they start fights minutes ahead of everyone else. We're talking enough time for arena lockout to kick in.
They're almost certainly using the plugin but it's also possible to do it without if you have fast load times. Assuming this isn't how the plugin does it already, just Alt+F4 the game or otherwise force a disconnect. When you reload it should skip whatever was left of the cutscene. Happens to me every now and then when I do roulettes close to midnight since we've got infrequent connection issues around that time.

The shots were more of a challenge than the actual expansion. Once or twice I logged back in the next day with no idea how we got where we logged out at. Can't recommend this route to anyone else but hey, it worked for us.

EDIT: We're also pretty sure we ran Worqor Zormor with randoms black out drunk. We don't recall doing it and were past it when we resumed at one point. Considering we would've occupied both the healer and tank slots in the party I don't know how the party managed to carry that. Wish I could remember it, I'm sure it was hilarious.

I feel like you're accounting for an ideal situation when I rarely run into those from experience. More than half of my average 7.0 queues have been people just on the floor for any reason, and it's why I've said earlier I've gotten into the habit of having to solo dungeon bosses on Warrior because everyone else is so braindead that they can't help but constantly floortank.

ah nah, I'm just speaking from healer perspective. From tank perspective it can definitely be scary when you've got a DPS minded healer you're unfamiliar with (full disclosure: I just popped Bene on a BLM so he didn't get out of his circle and I didn't have to waste a GCD). I try to be pretty mindful of what I can get away with, what I can and can't recover from within a few GCDs ,and what I do and don't have to heal. But I will absolutely let your ass get to 5% HP and pop Benediction if it gives me an extra GCD for DPS. The goal as a healer, at least last time I played, was to spend as few GCDs as possible actually healing, and the rest of the time being a glare mage. In a lot of contexts (especially roulette dungeons), if you're having to spend consecutive GCDs actually healing (rather than weaving off GCD instants), you're doing something wrong or people are standing in fire. Asylum, Assize, Tetragrammaton, Benison, and even Benediction are all off-GCD instants. Afflatus Solace/Rapture are great dumps during movement (especially to generate the Blood Lily).
As a general rule, I tend not to pop BOTH of the "big two" CDs (usually your Tank-specific, long CD and Rampart) if it's "single mob" numbers and I make sure to save at least one of the two for the next wall-to-wall because otherwise... I won't have it up in time for the next wall-to-wall. You would be surprised how much this mitigates the average DF shittery in every case EXCEPT for a healer being egregiously dogshit (not healing whatsoever, somehow burning their MP dry, healbotting, Freecure fishing, etc).

Anything on a lower CD timer than "the big two" are free game and get cycled like candy because the CD timers usually line up perfectly enough to specifically cycle them like candy.

I guess I just tend to factor Benediction into my pull cycle. Basically: I don't have to heal this pull and can save my other CDs for the next one because I'm just going to plan to pop Benediction when the tank gets to about 20%. WHM has a -ton- of leeway on these things though because of the built-in stun on Holy.

I did at one point consider myself a fairly competent WHM, so the sudden barrage of "why aren't you using regen??" complaints just took me aback a bit. I haven't done any endgame content since ShB tho.

I'm assuming that's just the usual, whiny entitlement coming from the playerbase on average. A regen's nice, but, again, as long I'm not dead, and if it's not putting a huge strain on the healer, there's no real problem. People I guess just get scared when they see their HP dip and it's not like a regen TOTALLY picks up ALL the slack for that happening.
 
why aren't you using regen??
Maybe it's the fact that it's got a much lower potency compared to Medica. (And unlike Aspected Benefic, doesn't have an immediate healing tick)
Cure II/Solace potency: 800
Rapture potency: 400
Regen potency: 250
Medica III(why) HoT potency: 175
(These numbers are 200 and 100 until level 85, and Medica II is 150 till level 96)

If SE wanted to make the divide between Shield and Regen healers actually obvious, they'd make Benefic II and Cure II give a heal plus a regen (two regens if it crits) and replace the Aspected Benefic/Regen action with a reflavored Pepsis/Emergency Tactics.

This week, the minimog challenges are either doing 5 FATEs in Lakeland or Kholusia, or beating Mimidoa in a game of Triple Triad in Lower La Noscea (Requirement for unlock: Level 42 MSQ "History Repeating").
The Ultimog challenge is doing 5 Treasure Dungeons. I'm pretty sure this just means entrances and not clears.

The best part is how blatant it was. The postlude mentions how hesitant and upset Alexandrians are about Zoraal Ja's spawn child being the new king, and how they got even more terrified when Wuk announced herself as his "guardian".

This is just straight up an oppressive colonizer telling their new bitches how it's gonna be. No avoiding it. I'd like to imagine all those Wuk Lamat fans on Reddit who pose her as a perfect ruler crying out in confusion as she commits a cardinal sin of the modern day.

I know Praetorium gives the most per run, but are any of the other dungeons quicker by enough to be worth grinding instead?

Hey, I'm all for putting the Alexandrians in camps. Or at least just keeping the degenerates locked in their little hellhole now that they can't procure more aether. That shit in the postlude about all their systems working just fine was bullshit given how their consumption of aether was such a big plot point; Even with the endless gone there's no way they can sustain a city with magitek that complex unaided.
The mogstones is such a waste of time. They haven’t made anything worth grinding for in years
Yeah, there's not a lot to compel me to grind hard on this one. Really the only thing I want this time is the barding since I don't have that one yet. After that I'm just gonna grab a bit of stuff like the haircut I can resell later for gil.

for the love of hydaelyn don't spam prae through DF for this, you're going to piss off so many mentors

I reccomend running A4 with a PF group and having fun in the Gold Saucer with GATEs.
And Rival Wings. People spam RW during Mogstone events because apparantly this is the only time that people feel like running it.

Joking aside, A4 and gates sound pretty pleasant. Might even give RW a try later. Thanks for the advice! We'll do that!

Prae is the longest duty in the game if you aren't using illegal plugins to skip the cutscenes. If you want something fucking braindead, you'd rather have Under The Armor which takes less than a minute to complete.
It also... just isn't a good thing to run. The only thing that's good about it is that it's braindead.

Optimised A4 run: 2:10 (Requires 1/1/6 team setup)
Optimised Prae run: 10:50 (Requires several illegal plugins)

Average DF A4 run: ~4:00
Average DF Prae run: ~32:00

A4 Mogstones: 2
Prae Mogstones: 7
 
If it didn’t have forced down time, a blu mage team may get it even shorter.

Currently sitting on 1448 1532 mogstones. This is stupid and MSQ roulette should be deleted. Sprouts have had enough pandering towards them, now that Duty Support exists we can stop.
