If I had a dollar for every time some dumb fucking faggot immediately pressed a button the instant they get up from one of my raises so they die within a second of coming back before my GCD lets me toss them a heal, my income status would be significantly better than what it currently is.

It's insane how many times I'm called a bad healer because they're retarded about a literal core battle mechanic.

It's either they can't stop themselves from pressing a button or they just stand around staring off into space for about 3 min.

Sadly SE dont do shit, the amount of venues advertisers I have reported for straight up pornographic advertisments and there is no punishment is frustrating. I transferred out of Crystal/Balmung nearly a decade ago to avoid this shit and its been annoying me seeing it blatantly just spreading everywhere.

You need to do so, in order to use xivanalysis. Parsing is fucking pointless with casual content - you might be doing great but if your gear is below-par it'll reflect that- but figuring out what you're doing wrong is excellent. Normal raids and even alliance raids give you a lot of time to practice your basic rotation, before you worry about optimization shit. The tool is super useful to keep track of things that you're doing wrong, and even to let you know shit you were oblivious to.

Like I didn't realize that paradox-ice is something I'm supposed to be using regularly until I just looked. I used it in EW nonstandard for obvious reasons, but after it was removed I just got used to not pressing it. When it was added back in, I assumed it was just a movement tool. Since I was really only around to see how shit the patch content was, I didn't math out the potency to find that it's apparently worth pressing in each rotation, not just ones where you need the extra movement or an instant-GCD.

Obviously, the approach you can take when parsing (and not just looking to learn the basics) is very different. Like - you don't use triples for movement or xenos outside of burst phase unless you know you'll have them back up for the next burst / leyline, which means to uber-parse you have to autistically map out the fights and when you're going to expend every given resource based on your comp. This is really only possible because 14's design really isn't built around reaction so much as memorization, which is probably the wellspring of why there's so much fatigue with their entire encounter/job/rotation design atm.

Like it's cool on Shadow Demon to learn when to surecast around the square so you miss the first 2 knockbacks and then fall in line for the other 2, using a triple to keep pumping F4s all the while. On some level you have to remember when you're good to drop your leyline and maximize time in it. But man is it boring to go "yeah, bank all 3 glossies, don't use any triples, because at the end of this phase you'll have the time to dump all of it."

Yeah, I understand that, but I know of a couple of speds who will parse regular dungeons because they're that autistic. It isn't about learning rotation or anything like that for them. They're obnoxious as fuck.

They claim that it is 'autism' that compels them to do this. Unsurprisingly, he sounds like an autistic sped on comms and many people actively dislike him. He basically just lives for 'number go bigger.' He's probably the best/worst example of your stereotypical XIV player.

I have a couple of other buddies who will do parse runs (and we try to mess up their parse) for casual content, but it's just friends fucking around. I honestly don't know if the previous idiot I mentioned started doing this to try and fit in or if they were doing it independent. They knew some people I know before I got introduced to them, but fuck me, they're obnoxious.

Already done. Of the few remaining joys allowed to us, making faggots and jannies annoy eachother is nice.

If there's any justice they'd have to change the name of their FC because the meaning of "sugared rim" is obvious to anyone with a frontal lobe but I don't have too much hope on that front, a paid janny is still a janny.

I'm guilty of this but thats because I leave ACT running for my entire session and I'm too lazy to seperate my Savage/Extremes from the rest of the stuff i did that day and just vomit my entire log in the uploader.
But it is also sometimes really funny to have the proof when you see something really silly like a lvl 100 BLM that only casts blizzard 1 or fire 1

I know a BLM one trick who at one point wanted to die on the hill that casting freeze was better than blizzard 3 because the cast for freeze was at the time instant or faster iirc, even though there was a bunch of number autists who basically called her a retard because all she was doing was nerfing her own damage for a maybe like a .2 second faster cast that was also just plain weaker. This was back in shadowbringers. We argued about it until she eventually gave me the stubborn donkey treatment and I just left it at that. I shit you not her explanation was "I rotate faster into astral using freeze and by the time you finish casting your blizzard 3, I'd already have 2 fire 4s out"

Using a blatantly inferior spell to go into astral faster doesn't increase your damage output. I even had my friend who used ACT parse our damage in our rotations. I used Blizzard 3 and she used freeze. Take a guess who did more damage. It wasn't her. You can't fix stupid.
