I like elezen. Only thing is that their run cycle is weird. Their necks are like pigeons. Their hold body moves but their heads stay at the center of gravity.

I started off as a sun cat too. When Au ra came out I switched to one. Then when they announced Viera, my fave race in the series, I instantly switched again and never looked back. We may not be able to wear hats and have the stigma of being cock havers in the Balmung Quicksand, but most hats are lame anyway and well I can't do much about the futa part except say I'm a normal viera broad and that I in fact, do not have a penis.

Some of the most fun I've had in the game is crafting my own furniture and decorating my house the best I could without relying on mods to do it for me. I'm proud of it.

I tried to decorate without mods. I really did. Learned to stack pallets to make shit float and everything.
Then after about the 30th item kept fighting me and snapping back into position or a misclick undoing 10+ mins of floating work, I finally broke down and installed the Burning Down the House mod for the sake of my own sanity.
Being able to put stuff around freely and use co-ordinates to work around my giant-ass goblet pillars was such a relief.

I play on ps5 so decorating with a remote on console was fun.
Actually I didn't have that much trouble. Only because I didn't try to do the crazy glitches. I only did floating but the rest is mostly just base stuff.

I play Elezen, with a couple of Hyur alts.

Hroths are the only race I dislike. I sympathize with those who just want to play a fantasy race, but the number of furry and pornsick weirdos who gravitate towards them are annoying. The number of characters who have pornsick inspired names/glams/adv plates make them a statistical anomaly amongst even the degenerate XIV population.

Femhroths just look fucking weird to me.

Also, I've been a proud Sun Cat-Grill since I started playing. We may not be special, we may be the most common race in the game, but dammit almost every outfit works for us and we're adorable.

I have nothing against cats. Viera always look kinda plastic to me like they drank too much fluoride but miqo have a lot of visual personality outside of typical anime looks.

The run is the best part though, especially playing ninja and watching my giraffe do a front flip in the most unnatural way. The only thing I miss is that I wish I had a squatting down pose like male miqote have, to complete the delinquent Gunbreaker look.

Honestly, this. Playing as a badass monster is great, and I love the look of a fully-armored cat monster ripping through shit, but... the furries and other weirdos just take away the enjoyment somewhat. It's gotten to the point where I kinda dread hopping into the multiplayer portion of the game because I know there's a good chance of dealing with some freak.

Part of it is that seeing them in 'normal' contemporary clothing just jars me, but also a lot of them just look fucking derpy and stupid. Also their stance/height ratio just seem off to me.

Incorrect. Being as negligible as possible is nowhere near as bad as the Jew gnomes precisely because there is nothing noteworthy about the Midlander. The benefit of being a ghost means you don't get harangued by the usual racial bullshit in this game. Being as boring as possible is a small price to pay, and really, more of an increasing benefit, considering the stereotypes the other races have to be subjected to unwillingly.

But I've said before I just wanted to make the most generic-looking human protagonist for a setting such as XIV's, and I did so. It's at about the appropriate levels of weebery without going overboard by being an UwU catgirl, lizard, rabbit girl, or potato.

I very much agree; the other ones look pretty good, but the weird mustache thing both looks stupid, and kinda hits the uncanny valley.
