Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Thank God my expectations were near 0
Basically

Mech Ops: Only 5 people per instance are allowed in per not-CE
FATEs: Overtuned as fuck. Constant work for 30 minutes to get minimal rewards.
Stellar Missions: For some absurd reason they decided to make them scale to your level, meaning that you are objectively worse off if you are a HIGHER LEVEL due to not being able to utilise the Lunar Credit Bonus on the relics prototypes.

Oh right, the relics.
You start with a level 10 one and it upgrades to 30, 50, 60, 70, presumably 80 then 90, and then 100.

I can't confirm about the difficulty of the crafts so far (Other than that there are actually bullshit Expert Crafts with 20 durability), but the Gathering is all 100 (nostar). I still don't know what the exact Gathering breakpoint for +3 Yield from Bountiful Yield is though, so you're probably better off just putting everything into Perception.

Cosmic seems like a decent way to level gatherers at least, from 1 to 40 for MIN in around 1 hour. Just have to keep the gear somewhat up to date. A single mission on gold rank will net you a level and then some. As Tari said, the base expansion FATE are completely overtuned. I assume they wanted to prevent that happened in the Ishgardian restoration where these things were done after 3 minutes but as always they way overshort it. The transportation via hover boards is cool once you unlock it, and I am happy to report that female Hrothgar continue to be the most cursed race/gender combo: Their heads do not align with their neck when on the hoverboard at all.

The FATE is probably being affected by the amount of people in the zone. As usual, I suspect they didn't plan for the sheer amount of players doing these things at the same time.

I'm up to stage 5 on the relic already, and...
why is the pickaxe called "Cosmic hatchet (sic) Prototype v0.6" on the next step

They did plan for it, but then they decided to instance the content. So it's overtuned.

I casually levelled DoH DoL so long ago I forgot what any of the buttons do. Is there a plugin that auto solves the crafting for you based on your stats? What's the good DoH DoL plugins to use for Cosmic Exploration Stellar Quests? I've only ever got most of these classes to 30 by on and off doing the Ixal quests so I really dunno how to actually properly play these classes.

Artisan

Dalamud is in beta right now so you'll need to get the info from the yaml.

DOH: Artisan (Breaks on the 726/12960/80 craft)
DOL: Do it yourself. Yes. The person who runs maps with 3 other accounts that are bots is telling you to do it yourself.
Technically speaking you can use Pandora Gathering, but you'll mess up when switching between leve types and lose all your GP.

Alright, experience of the Stellar Missions is dropping off like crazy once you get past 50. I turned in one with gold medal at 49 and for 300k Exp, did the same at level 50 with a mission that gives more base exp and got... 80k.
Also, maybe this is a personal problem because my connection is really bad, but I barely can make the 3 minute timer(why, for what reason are they making gathering content frantic?) with some of those missions, since the game takes a good few seconds between each pickaxe swing at times... did they manage to make NoClippy mandatory for DoL content as well?

It's because of how many players are in the location.
(also look at what the square brackets in your name does to the quote system lol)

God damn, ive done POTD with 4 people and that was a hell run, How many sustaining potions should i grind up before i start doing it solo? I think i have like 100 ish on hand

For MCH, and since you're learning, I'd say 300ish. The good thing is that you'll accumulate those naturally while learning and climbing.

If you're going for the title, don't do full explores of floorsets. Just find the exit and get the fuck out, unless you're hard up for pomanders.

Also, don't bother with using intuitions for hoard, unless you've used a Safety or a Sight pomander. Not worth the potential pitfalls.

How far have you climbed solo?

If you're someone who's using PalacePal you can probably risk it but Intuitions aren't worth going out of the way for unless it's the last set anyway

Saw that theres a new patch, will probably give it a try later if im not dead tired. The mechs look cool. If its boring ill just go back to level up Warrior.

I was trying this out for auto-crafting, but it seems to not give a shit about trying to HQ. Am I missing something?

121 is the farthest ive made it solo, the classic landmine next to a trapped chest did me in, went off like right as i right clicked on the chest.
I already pulled 2 nightmare pegasuses running it with a party so i wasn't planning on being greedy with the hoard.
Ran it to 70 today and am planning on doing some more when i get off work. The only thing im worried about solo is the necromancer and behemoth fights, and some of those higher tier mobs, not to mention the mimics

Behemoth is tricky but with the potency changes in EW the margin for error is a bit more forgivable.

If by Necromancer you mean the Floor 100 boss, he's pretty brainless as well if you use a resolution and a lust pomander, but it's the first real fight where people can be overwhelmed.

It's been a bit, but IIRC, on MCH, I tend to:

- Pop steel/strength
- Pop sustaining
- Pop Lust
- Use the attack until the sustaining pot is done. Pop out and burst him with everything.
- Pop another sustaining potion, adds should be up at this point
- Pop resolution, nuke adds (nuke the bodies so they don't respawn)
- GG

Lust makes it so you can push up most, if not all of the adds and Resolution will kill all the adds. The most important thing is just making sure you have your sustaining pot up when you use lust/reso.

It's fine popping resos that early because you're guaranteed to find one more before you need them again.

Mimics are also a non-issue for MCHs who can kite them np. Just make sure you have a Steel up I wanna say from like 170+.

Artisan is kinda retarded (e.g. immediately burning Trained Perfection on a Groundwork post-MuMe without using Vene first). It thinks about what the current best action would be given the situation, not about the whole picture.

Where it really shines is being able to plug macros from Raphael or Teamcraft into it, and then letting that run without any chances of a minor pingspike fucking up the macro.

Unfortunately, Taurenkey hasn't updated Artisan for the new UI yet so you'll need to manually assign the macros to the recipes through the unintuitive Macro interface.

Damn I was worried that would be the case. I'll just have to custom macro these then, since I'm starting at 90 on all my crafters.

You still need to custom macro it, but Tauren updated it so that you can use Endurance Mode.

The Expert Solver doesn't work on Cosmic Expert crafts right now. At all.

Another tough fight in my opinion is the Godfather Floor 190 boss, mainly because it hits like a truck with it's cleave swipes so you have to time the lust usage to get up to 5 stacks and likely have to pop another one to reset the timer on it and then manually click off. Plus, you ideally want to learn where the opposite color-stun bombs spawn and pre-emptively kite the boss to it, because it's more reliable than trying to knock the bomb into it with both auto's and a skill attack causing it to overshoot and get stuck at a wall.
