Yeah, I recalled one of the androids yelling LOOK DOWN after the floor became crystal clear, the boss felt like "welp I ran out of ideas and I can't think of mechanics to piss off black mages anymore" to me. Also did the boss remind you of Cloud of Darkness by the way it looks?
I think the previous one was easy compared to copied factory where I died like 6-8 times, here I died like 3 and we almost wiped at the first because we thought the blocks were supposed to block the wind instead of being used to hold yourself from being blown into the abyss.

I can at least explain how G'raha knows Estinien. It's because...
While his body is his young body from the current timeline, his memories and soul from his future doomed timeline counterpart were fused together with him. He knows Estinien and refers to him as a legend because he read about Estinien in the Heavensward chronicles penned by the old Fortemps geezer. Remember, the G'raha we met on the first awoke to a doomed future where people told stories aboit the Warrior of Light and their friends before he was sent back in time to the first to prevent the doomed future. There is also a mini story on the lodestone that talks about how the doomed future split off and became it's own timeline after we altered events to stop the 8th calamity.
That probably makes it sound more confusing now that I think about it lmao

Fordola = she dedicated to Garlemand and realized that it’s collapsing and not to mention she’s basically conscripted to Suicide Pest Cleaner.
G’raha Tia = He only hear about Estinien from rumors and stories. So he’s thought that Estinien is a cool hot-shit when in reality is a blunt-ass man.
I don’t even care with the rest of the characters.

As far as I can remember, the MSQ plot for X.35 to X.55 patches has always sucked. It also doesn't help that the story continues to involve Zenos, a villain so flat they had to cobble together another one just to allow the plot to keep moving. G'raha I can see knowing about Estinein for the same reason he knows about all the WoL has done: he read about the both of us. Fordola hasn't been relevant in a couple years IRL, so she doesn't get character development. Plus she was written by the scholars who wrote SB.
The Twins just need an overhaul. They need to be finally aged up. They need a definite personality outside of "Remember that one time when I was an asshole a couple years ago? Just punch down my ego with it when I get too uppity." The community basically holds them as surrogate children and that needs to go away for any major growth to happen.
g'raha using his knowledge about people from the books he read is really one of my favorite parts about him. he's still pretty naive about the world even though he's over 200+ years old
I always viewed the x3.0 patches to be the “big stuff happens” patch while the ones after are used to tie up loose ends from previous patches and EPs until the very end of the second part of the x.5 patch. We got the whole thing with the Kobolds in 5.4 and Fordola returning and freeing Tiamat in 5.5

Of all the characters in this game, the twins are the ones I utterly cannot stand. I’m fed up with authoritative storytelling coming from twelve year olds and the times when they act like kids feel so out of place and jarring. If anything they should’ve been teenagers around 17 or 16. They’re distracting most of the time and their smartness feels forced.
Apparently Elezen have longer lifespans than the other races so I guess they age slower if that is the case. Even Alphinaud says Elezen are late bloomers. It’s definitely not an excuse and probably unintentional but I could see that being the case.

The amount of time that's taken place between patches and expansions isn't the same in-game. With the time difference on the first being like years there to hours on the Source for example despite the scions being there for a whole expansion doesn't really equate to being that long. So like, Stormblood happened like, months ago maybe.
