Is it OK for this thread if we continue to talk about it, if it's not FT? I'm trying to be conscientious of that, as well.

I'm curious about it and think the primary purpose is fish farming for season 2. Also Josie may be going there but there's not any evidence either way.

For the edit... yeah we're gonna miss a lot of stuff in the basic edit, I'm not confident in it being all that great if you've seen the full show. Extended cut has more wiggle room and each day you can probably get 1 hour of major highlights to hone in on and trim from, there was a lot of downtime. That said, the lulls made the highs more enjoyable.

You're dead on, a lot of her viewers want to fuck her and/or have a parasocial relationship. Dangerously, she's developing a parasocial relationship with some of her notable channel members. It may be that some are driven by curiosity in the areas she won't talk about and they think they can trick her or sidestep her for the answers. Notably info on Winston but also there's some lore people are curious about.
Some of the "notable weirdos" I highlight for streams seem like they're trying to actually be friends with her. Fortunately, Luke has demonstrated that spending a lot of money and even meeting her in person aren't enough to get special treatment as he went ignored for over a week outside of superchats.

She has her moments but it's really hit/miss on actual entertainment. Admittedly, I'm invested and intrigued. On Fishtank she was fun and engaging but seemed dim and easily misled so I expected her to fumble streaming and be bullied away pretty fast. As it turns out, she's on top of things more than others, with a more advanced streaming setup and generally having something in the works. eg there is a song collab that's supposed to be coming soon. She learns fast and has gained confidence in dealing with trolls to the point a few trolls gave up and are now regular viewers.

It's not all about money for her because she does IG streams on top of her regular streaming and even cut a regular stream short to do an extended IG stream because of copyrighted music. No donations but made sure to read chat.

From how he said, "it isn't what you think it is," I'm leaning away from it having any ties to FT. I saw someone say Jet pitched an idea for a dating show like this at some point so maybe it's that. Or maybe it's an incubator for him to test stuff he might do on FT. But "it's not what you think it is" makes me really think it's not any sort of tryout for contestants at all.

Her strategy was valid and if it was bad for the show then it was up to production to say so. If they just told her to behave differently, as Sam did, then she would. She was in it to win it and it worked. Her worth came from audience engagement and that's effectively what's going on now. S2 website is testing an item feature, right now items just appear randomly while you idle and give you a trivial amount of XP.

Surely this is a placeholder. Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube may make sense but Discord... a disaster unless it's a read-only type of thing or they use a bot to consolidate social media posts there.

I think currently the likelihood ranking for returning fish and freeloaders is
1. Frank Hassle
2. Damiel (production)
power gap
3. Josie

If Josie appears at all her fucking fans will ruin shit. Like as soon as Josie leaves the set they'll never shut the fuck up on TTS: BBJ, BBJ, on and on for fucking hours. I don't think they can even tease it without causing production problems.

After that you start getting obstacles that make it less likely or just not a good idea. Like all the old fish are useless for gaslighting. If Schizo Vance makes an appearance, for example, the audience couldn't possibly think it's for real. Not to mention it's a recycled joke and won't be as funny the second time. Same thing with Jon, he doesn't play characters, so if they bring him in it's just going to be more bibo, do u want to wokeowt wiff me, swuts, shit. I guess they could bring him in to talk about business and then it would wrap around to being a gaslight again because the contesants would be convinced he was fake like Kominos, when he's actually being real... that could work.

There's a few season 1 things I think they could get away with doing again: I think Nick Kominos' dad was gonna be Nick Rochefort and it goes without saying it would be cool if he had shown up, even if they don't do Scuffed Realtor like they seemed to be setting up for. And apparently Vinny (Chris Chin) is an actor who can do more than what he did in S1. Tyson-as-Lance was funny, but as himself he was the one freeloader that consistently managed to cause conflict and hostility between the contestants without using turds, or getting a yellow flag for assault, or ticking the audience off, and he only got to do that for maybe 10 hours, total. They had some stuff they talked about making Max (Cowboy) do, like show up and start screaming about being overworked, that ironically they couldn't do because anytime he was there they needed him to do real work.

I think it's fine if they take attention off the contestants at times, that goes back to my complaint about otherwise riding high-energy, entertaining contestants like Letty or Jon to the point of collapse. But if it's just Josie whipping her gooners into rebellion against the show, better to not.

I don't remember the name off the top of my head but he's got an edgy clown mask on a black background as an avatar. I think he's a wannabe musician since he has a bunch of low view dark ambient tracks on his channel. He was especially active in July asking Josie about meeting up at different places in Phoenix. She acknowledged him once when he asked about her thoughts on an upscale neighborhood in Phoenix and then ignored him for good

On this I disagree. I think she reads /ftl/ somewhat but not post. I think she cares a lot about what others think of her and checks for criticism and praise often. She replies to comments buried deep sometimes so clearly reads through them all and checks them over and over for new ones.

It really wouldn't do her any good to go back, especially for only the few thousand dollars she'd make as a freeloader. She doesn't need to be picking up new drug habits and lifestyles from Jet and crew. She needs to get her car fixed and find a boxing gym and figure out some outdoors stuff to do for videos like she wants to. I wouldn't say it's too overbearing to not want to see a 21 year old girl get dragged into a seedy lifestyle by wiggers, especially since she's been a mentally unstable shut-in her whole life. She has the chance to be normal and productive and hopefully she doesn't squander it or let other people lead her astray

Did we get a good look at the people attending RIRE? Was it literally just a casting call for girls and all the guys at the party were MDE affiliated? I assumed it would be something like Fishtank where they got a whole house for a weekend for strangers to party and Jet to oversee and scout for some talent, not a sesh at Jet's place. It could be that the MDE crew are simply all down bad and this is just an excuse to meet some girls. Chris is single, Ben and Tax are single I think, Damiel just got out of his relationship, Jet is single and probably misses that dead girl every day and possibly simps for Josie
