I doubt Sam is out of money. Likely that one account is out of money. And a large transfer would take time to process... and it is after business hours on Thursday. So Monday.

Assuming it isn't a joke.
Sam is supposedly a millionaire, but that doesn't mean he'll fork over another $400,000. He's a retard for trusting Google anyways. He should have shopped around more.
Apparently the poast admin is trying to contact Sam, because he has a way to cut down on costs.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Sam is better served spending half a million on Google hosting than giving Graf even a minute of his time.

If there were free and open source alternatives to the complexities of wevhosting, this site would not have been vulnerable to being taken down by corporations. Hell, KF is among the few sites that try to avoid reliance on a third party back end and
Restreamers are probably actually saving them bandwidth, if somebody's watching it on Twitch and broadcasting to 100 viewers, that's 100 who aren't taking bandwidth from the actual site.
There are no "open source alternatives" to hosting. It is infrastructure like bandwidth and storage. It why there are no platforms that offer livestreaming outside of big tech conglomerates.
The "restreamers" are not using another platform, they are just accessing the direct feed without accessing the website. It's essentially the same drain on resources.
Essentially

for now....

short term solution: only paypigs can watch on the website. Possibly set up restreams on throwaway YT accounts until they get flagged down.

long term solution: design a website that doesn't eat bandwidth and actually estimate how many people will watch something you've hinted at for a year.

30k for website + 30k every 3 days of hosting this is what happens when you are unironically using pajeets

If someone is taking the feed and then broadcasting their screen via twitch it is allowing anyone watching their stream to not take up the resources.
All the portals everyone was sharing (VLC, 4chan's copy, ect) where all directly using the stream.
If you think this stream would last more than 10 mins on twitch you're crazy or never used that site before.

Minor cow crossover: it will probably come to nothing, but graf (admin of poa.st) is claiming he can host the whole thing for about $10k, and told Wyatt to have Jet contact him.

I'm mostly mentioning this to show that Sam didn't have to go with an expensive solution, there are custom ways to do this for much cheaper. Graf/Poast has a streaming platform on poast.tv that Null used for MATI (before getting defederated), plus some other small podcasts. He's been tweaking a custom CDN service for months, so it's a credible estimate of what's possible.

Doing it without the chat is probably a deal breaker though; chat has never worked on poast.tv beyond 50 users or so. Null could probably help there, but getting all 3 together is probably impossible at this point.
