TBH I'm not surprised that Tay scored the highest, from what I've seen she seems quick on her feet, well read, and she has demonstrated critical thinking skills in challenges. And from what she's said, she took school seriously and was a straight A student. Doesn't mean she's a literal genius, but it does show she isn't stupid. At the very least, it shows she knows how to take tests.

Jimmy doing well also isn't surprising to me. Jimmy actually comes across as very smart, but it's overshadowed by him being a mentally disturbed sped. Many such cases.

Almost all the fish predicting that Shinji would score the highest despite him having a language barrier, saying multiple times during the show that he was bad at school, and being a literal pornstar, made me laugh. you clearly never took the asvab, anyone that got a 500 in math on the sat could qualify for nuclear sub technician, very few people both a. are willing to enlist and b. have even average intelligence. the math section is literally all 4 function math. the english part literally involves knowing when to use capital letters or tenses.
