I'm glad she soyjacks at everything actually. Every time she soys out it's a reminder that production is rehashing the same shit from S1. Through her crippling autism Tay is reminding production that their show is held together with ideas made up on the spot and old bits. They are creatively bankrupt and they hate that a contestant is pointing it out. If they want Tay to always give slackjawed, thousand-yard stares in response to their ideas maybe they shouldn't do shit that will make her soy out and instead find ways to legitimately shock or surprise her? Or maybe they should be professional for once and actually get a professional scouting agency to find their fish? "Ohhh noes the MDE fans won't stop finding our obvious Craigslist ads and they apply when we link applications in our Instagram stories! Woe is us!!!!" Cry me a fucking river. Regardless, Sam pretty much confirmed Tay is a finalist so she obviously played the game they wanted her to. Or maybe everyone else is just a bad contestant? Whatever, bald Tay will probably win and I'm betting it's a TJ/Tay final

That was such an intense challenge. It went on for so long, Vance and Josie were beat to shit, the weight that Letty taped to Vance's ankle that fucked up the floor (and Vance), and it just went on and on and on and they hung in to the very end. There hasn't yet been anything like it in S2.

As much as I'd love for the show to be cast with totally unaware normal people there is a major issue unspoken issue that many normal people who aspire to act and do other projects want nothing to do with Sam. Sam has consistently hurt himself over the years by associating himself with the alt-right and many people literally think he's a Neo-Nazi. There is a large risk of people simply walking off the show once they realize Sam is heavily involved with it.
It's why so many of the fish from both seasons were fans. Many normal non terminally online people are terrified of being "the guy from that Nazi show". To normies Sam is "Oh that racist shooter meme guy?". To be clear I fully support a professionally cast season 3 I'm just pointing out there is a glaring issue with it.

I've only ever met one other person in real life who knew who Sam Hyde was, and even then it was only because of Sam calling out Hasan from that boxing event. I can't imagine that your normie-ish people desperate to get on reality TV will know who Sam Hyde is. I could see people being reluctant to put on charcoal masks and yell OOGA BOOGA at a black dude, though.

That's another issue I completely missed in my post. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't know or care who Sam is but once he starts dropping slurs and the blackface comes out I can see things going south.

I think you're overestimating how well known Sam is, most normies have never heard of him and they aren't going for normal people anyway, Sam said they wanted people like Donye who want to be on a reality show no matter what, so what we're most likely going to get is a cast full of desperate, bottom feeding attention whores.

The problem isn't even how Sam acts in person. The problem is when normies Google his name and find out he's a "neo-nazi," sexist, homophobe, and whatever other slander pops up. Even if they're right wing and agree with him, most people are so afraid of social backlash that they'll imediately disavow and back away.
The fear of being "cancelled" makes people very complacent.

the fact that the subreddit still hasn't gotten shut down and his youtube streaming career and media career is on an upswing proves Sam isn't as notorious anymore. You'll bring up buzzfeed, but literally no one under 30 gives a fuck; buzzfeed hasn't had the cultural cache it had back in 2018. Doja Cat is a black jew, and she openly wore Sam Hyde stuff, even Sam at this point didn't give a shit. If it was Nikki Minaj a decade ago it probably would have been a huge deal but most people under 30 don't think "nazi" when they hear of Sam Hyde, and the people under 30 that do associate him with Nazis also associate Shane Gillis and Adam Sandler with Nazis.
It reminds me of how for some people Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is some crazy druggie rocker and for the next generation under that one he's just a weird guy who's offputting to look at. Like how Green day in the 90s was a legit punk band and in the 2000s was a softer, pop-punk band.
Or how Louis CK could talk about niggers and raping little girls on Opie&Anthony and a few years later be considered some comedy god and "a white guy that gets it" when it comes to being woke.
While Sam Hyde might not be getting a Netflix special, he isn't 2016 levels of infamous online. Gawker and Buzzfeed won't be writing hit pieces about Fishtank for the same reason they wouldn't dare write them about Skankfest. this isn't 2016 anymore, comedians are perfectly fine saying "hey go after that guy for calling me a nazi" as Anthony Jesselnik learned a few years ago when going after notorious neo-nazi Big Jay Oakerson and Kurt Metzger, he backpedaled super hard and openly said he didn't want to end up like seth simons.
I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Rogan has asked Sam Hyde to be a guest on his program, Sam clearly is well respected among a huge chunk of comedy nowadays which is why he was able to get such a prime spot at skankfest. There's no way in hell the cast would immediately walk off once Sam pops onto the show. I'd be surprised if they even bother remarking on it.,
Having said that, the TTS and racist challenges will probably be a lot harder of a sell to normies. Think about how hard TTS went after Summer for being a coal burner and realize every normal woman on the west coast or north east is a race mixing whore. Between that and when Chris shows up, there's no way in hell every contestant doesn't bolt out that fucking door.

It was more than half. 5 of the 8 season 1 fish were in some way a fan of Sam and Jet. Mauro, Simmons and Jon were the three non fans in the house.
I can see where you are coming from because Sam's image has for sure improved since the boxing match and the success of Fishtank but there is a significant amount of people who still view Sam as an unrepentant neo-Nazi. This is from a celebrity gossip subreddit btw not a breadtuber sub or other terminally online neckbeard cesspit. This is what many people who only know of Sam through second hand info think of him.
